... or, she could dilute his ability to maintain *His* relationship with Christ. We already had a discussion here about why missionary dating is not a good idea, but I think Michi...er, Mave said it best: it's easier to make someone take a step down than a step up. If you're giving yourself heart and soul to someone who doesn't have Jesus at their centre, then neither will the relationship and neither will the life you have together.
