A dream.

Talk about anything in here.

A dream.

Once, Martin Luther King jr. gave a speech on equalness
in white and blacks.
One of the key things i heard in that speech was this:
"I have a dream!|
Well I too have a dream,
my dream is differnt than Mr. King's dream though.
I have a dream that ALL men will be equal,
Germans and Americans may forgive each other for the fight they've had,
russians and Canadian children will play together on playgrounds.
Part of the salute to the American flag is this: "One nation under God"
well we are not just one NATION under God, We are one world, one people under God, and we chould live as such...

Think about this,

If you've seen some similar threads at Christian Forums and *especially* at that horrible board called Rapture Ready, you should know that all that it will take to turn this thread into a massive conflagration is the presence of one premill pretrib person who is in love with conspiracy theories.

I'm not questioning your brother per se or his faith, just saying that this thread is an explosion waiting to happen. :)

Well, for the moment it doesn't seem to be explosive in the least, and when someone turns it into one, we'll deal with it then. Usually we try to limit closing "end times threads" when they are just that--outright end times threads. So far this one's been ok.

Agreed. We should lead the way in seeking peace and justice across the globe and here at home. Likewise, we need to foster and support institutions that express this need and that are truly international in scope.
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge

Ah now that's somthing I can't belive,
in my my belife, God is still in control and whatever he's doing right now is his will.....
But you belive whatever you want to....

Maybe I should close this thread; it doesn't seem like this is exatcly the right place to be sharing this, at least from the respones I've gotten to it...
