How Do You Post Your Own Pictures / Art?

Postby Alice » Sat Jun 11, 2005 11:07 pm

Do you have to have some kind of hosting service?

And must you have a scanner, for your art?

(I have neither.)

well to put your art on the comp then yeah, you need a scanner,OR have like a digital camera, take a picture of your art, then upload it.

now to post it on CAA you dont "have" to have a hosting service, your able to upload it through CAA. But you can host it on a site, such as Photobucket.com
That how i post my pictures!

I guess i wasnt much help XD;;; Im sorry.....

Ummmmm....

No offence but I post artwork on alot of sites and people who post "Photos" of there work are only hurting themselves!

It creates the idea that you to stupid (I'm not saying it's true!) to use a scanner! And when people look through online galleries to find cool artist they'll see you "Photos" and click right past you!

I would graetly suggest getting a scanner before you post any art!

"So how do I get one?" you ask? Well pray...

sounds corny huh? Well if your supposed to post art god will provide...

and if he dosent I'd take it as a sighn that maybe posting you stuff probrobly aint the best thing right now!

But PLEASE I BEGG YOU no photos!

1) I'm not an great artist.

2) I'm not too stupid to use a scanner, because when we had one, I used it, even though it wasn't flatbed.

3) I don't care if people don't think my art's that great or click past it. It isn't that great. Big deal.

1) Alot of people think that about themselves!

2) I didn't mean to imply that you were and for that I am truly sorry!

3) Well...k...that's cool

Yah I's suggest Photobucket if that's all you want it for!

o.o! Okay, there should have been a usb link cable that hooks up to your digital camera and your computer. ^__^ / When it plugs in, you should be able to copy the pictures you want from your digital camera onto your computer. Granted, of course, that you've already installed any and (most) all software that came with your camera.

So, all you have to do after you've gotten your image copied to your computer is edit it (if you want/need to) using your image-editing program (Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, Microsoft Paint, etc) and then upload the image to a hosting site, such as Photobucket or ImageShack.

Good luck!

Actually, I've pretty well figured it out, since I've posted a couple of photographs recently. But thanks for all the advice and help.

And hopefully no offense, WhiteLion. :)

Photos of artwork are fine if you know what you're doing. I have a few pieces that are too large for the scanner. I photographed them with a high-quality digital camera and they look scanned.

And then there's sculpture... people always forget that sculpture is art too, and it can't very well be scanned... :poke:
