O.O You actually updated. This feels... monumental. I must agree with the Committee of Certain Peopl and voice my approval of Chinese hat man. He's much more pessimistic than the happy cakes were. *nod nod*

I enjoyed the update very much! This was a good place to pick the plot back up and refresh my memory. Whoa... poor Arden. I wonder if the Specter has something to do with whatever's wrong with Vera - or is she just weak/weary from work/hard times?

And on the progression with Alpheus...

*ahem* Anyway. My main crit for the first update was that there didn't seem to be enough to indicate why Blanc was so skeptical towards Alpheus' troops. It seemed as though he were just being a jerk, but Hawthorne seemed to take the complaint seriously ("our options are thin"). From the way you described the guard, there was nothing really to indicate them looking like rusted, un-trained tin cans as Blanc seems to think (unless he's just making a rather broad assumption based on most all/any individuals dressed up in wolf ensignia armor are generally uneducated brutes... in which case... KILL. =___O). I was also a little surprised that Hawthorne consented to take a hike and let Alpheus handle things so quickly, but maybe I'll understand more later. ^___^ Keep updating!

I was going to give an explanation, but I erased it after having an epiphany XD. Hawthorne/Blanc's attitudes are like that for a reason (having to do with the battle at the beginning of the story).

P.S. To be honest, I have to refresh myself on this story. My head's in the clouds XDD. I also have to do a lot of editing.

Happycake came from when I first figured out how to make a cake like so. [ }o Then, I decided to put a happy face in it, hence happycake.

Chinese Hat Man came from a conversation I was having where I meant to post >B[ but accidentally typed <B[. Due the epic nature of the conversation., the person I was talking to said, "LOL CHINESE HAT MAN!"

Well, guys. For all those of you who had/have been keeping up with Aegis for the past few months(if any besides Rushia and Temulin ), I have to say that I may need to rewrite this story. I've been thinking about it for a while now, weighing ideas and concluding that some particular ones are a cliche and whatnot.

I may change the entire plot entirely or not--still debating. For now, this story will stay in limbo, as I'm in college and need to dedicate some time to that.

No, I'm not abandoning this story, just rethinking, rewriting, and seeking to improve my style and understanding (heavy priority), which is all part of the writing process . I'm not sure if I'll post the new one on here again (maybe I'll post a good amount), but I may post it entirely on my DA account, for future copyright reasons (I can always manually remove it from there, hehe).

Awww. I liked where you had Aegis going so far, but then you're the author and you know what you want your stories to be better than anyone. ^.^ I know whatcha mean though, I'm kinda in editing/clean-up mode as far as writing goes myself. XD It's hard when your style changes and then your look back at old writing and go "... O___o"

I'd love to get a sneak peak at your new stories though if I can. I check my E-mail more frequently than DA or CAA which I've been kinda stagnant on both due to college start and all.

Speaking of which, how's college life treatin' you so far?
