Any good suggestions for anime/manga?

Postby samuraidragon » Fri Sep 08, 2006 11:42 am

i'm looking for a new anime/manga to get in to :P I'm way into bleach, it's the best out there in my opinion. well bleach and fma, but fma is finished, and i don't like the manga. i watched a little bit of naruto but theres nothing there that pulls me in.
if anybody has any favorites...

Maison Ikkoku might be good for a change of pace.
I'd also recommend the Seikai Trilogy, Rurouni Kenshin, and Beck.

Anime that I reccommend are:

S-Cry-Ed
Trigun
Cowboy Bebop
Hunter X Hunter (This is my most reccommended out of all of them)
Rurouni Kenshin
Hajime no Ippo

Manga:

Hunter X Hunter
Azumanga Daioh (funny, funny stuff)
Bleach manga (if you dont read it, you should start soon)

Thats all of the best that I can think of right now, that I have seen or watched anyways. If I think of more, I will add more. :D

I really do love my neon genesis evangelion and escaflowne.

I know I'm not supposed to discuss eva as per the forum rules, but am I at least ok to recommend it? ^^;;;

yes. the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya is an excellent anime series that happens to be 14 episodes long so it's not long enough for you to get tired out it but it's not so short that you'll be like "Aww man. i wish this series went on longer".

here's a summary from animenewsnetwork:

genre: Comedy, Psychological, Romance, Science Fiction, Slice of Life, Supernatural

On the first day of high school a beautiful girl named Haruhi Suzumiya introduces herself as having "no interest in ordinary humans". She asks for any aliens, time travelers, sliders or espers to join her. Watching her weird behaviour is Kyon a boy who sits in front of Haruhi and is the only person who talks to her. Commenting on Haruhi's joining every club in school and then quitting Kyon unwittingly gives Haruhi an idea to start her own after school club. Thereafter Kyon and several others find themselves literally dragged into the Save our world by Overloading it with fun Suzumiya Haruhi's Brigade (the S.O.S. Brigade for short).
