Hahaha! Man, that guy...He cracks me up! Anyone ever seen any of the Rurouni Kenshin Outtakes? In the 8th set of outtakes, he makes Shishio say some of the most hilarious things! Example: "In other words, Usui, despite his grudge, has proven to be highly nutritious to me after all...and delicious!" XD Ah, man...Good stuff!

I would give you the site from where you could download the outtakes, but alas, it hasn't been working for the past few days... .~_~. However, I could e-mail you the file if you want me to, since it's on my compy at the moment. Just pm me if you want me to! ^_^ Seriously, it's hysterical...XD

That's funny. I recognized the voice on Big O as the voice on Cowboy Bebop, but I didn't recognize anyone from the original dub of GR as that same guy. :/

Steve Blum is also in Last Exile starting on the third or fourth disc. I haven't seen the whole series yet so I don't know how long his character is in the show.

Vic Mignogna was right, but I think you meant "Johnny Yong Bosch".

Actually, the BEST Steve Blum work is the preview for the Cowboy Bebop episode Bohemian Rhapsody. At the end of the preview he says something like "Won't you come join us" or something like that (it's been awhile!) and, well...I'm not made of wood. <sigh> I had taped that episode (being too old to stay up for Adult Swim! :lol: ) and must have replayed that part 50 times!

.~_~. The ending to Bebop is SO SAD!! I hate that
Spike dies!! And how he just says, "Bang," and then falls over dead...And then the music starts...I was really sad after that...It was a really powerful ending, but it was still really sad. I love how it plays "See You, Space Cowboy" as Spike is running off to fight Vicious...It makes it all the more sad, since the title says See You...*cries* I still love teh Bebop, though!
Ha! I recorded that episode!

I'm not a fangirl, and I HATE to gravedig, but is David Lucas his real name?

As MJL knows, he's my favorite VA.

Steve Blum has done SOOOOO much. I love his voice too. :sweat:
He was also:

Tom the robot from Toonami
Zabuza and Orochimaru from Naruto
Vincent Valentine in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus
Wiseman and Sanjuro in the .hack series
Most of his other well-known roles have already been mentioned.

Isn't there a thread here that says he's a Christian? I think it's the mainstream Christian voice actor thread... :thumb:

I think David Lucas is a psuedonym, not the other way around. Back when Cowboy Bebop was dubbed, most anime voice over work wasn't unionized (I think some still isn't, but I'm not sure). You can get kicked out of your union if you do work that's not sanctioned under them, so a lot of times voice actors will use a psuedonym instead of their real name to avoid any penalities. That's also why Metal Gear Solid has different names in the credits than its remake, MGS: Twin Snakes, even though almost all of the same voice actors returned (Jimmy Flanders=Cam Clarke, for example).

Actually, he used to actively deny that he and Lucas were the same person to avoid getting in trouble, even going so far as to write a letter to a fan group saying that he and Lucas were just friends that happened to have extremely similar voices. I'm not even sure if he's ever actually said "yeah, that's me"--but it IS him, he just...can't say it is. :sweat:

Oh, DUHHH!!! {slapping forehead!} I couldn't place Genya's voice for the life of me. I should have tagged him earlier!

(And I totally did not recognize Tetsegyu. No surprise there; he made the voice sound extremely different.)

Hitokiri: {{His voice is the most recognizable voice in the Dub industry (along with the likes of Wendee Lee, Robert Wicks, Crispin Freeman, and Mary Elizabeth McGlynn).}}

To which I would add Sparky Thompson (Saito on RK; many others too numerous to mention). Um. I think it's Sparky Thompson. {abashed g!}

I think it's Sparky Thornton. Also known as Kirk Thornton.
