I doubt that
Tis No Fool to lose what he can not keep to gain what he can never lose.

Well they did set it up so that it was a bit ambiguous as to the exact relationship between the Guardians.

btw:I wonder if the regeneration sequence in the season finale was set up the way it was in order to guarntee that the Doctor would have more regenerations past the normal 12.

Well if they ever have it in holograph form in the 24th century...
Just kidding.
Yes,it has been around the longest and Star Trek is the next longest in it's
various forms.
Too bad we will never get to see a Doctor Who/Star Trek crossover on the tube.

These are the new new ones with David Tennent (10th Doctor). I watched the first new ep last night, "New Earth". It was really really good! A few parts were surprising... a few parts were a bit too "vampy" for my liking (Rose gets taken over by someone and acts uncharacteristically) ... but I really enjoy David as the new Doctor. He's fabulous... almost Tom Baker-ish! :)

I got the feeling that the now guy would be Tom Baker-ish when he made the teeth comment at the end of the season finale. The toothy grin was one of Baker's trademarks. In terms of Rose, I haven't seen any of the new season, but but I sort of miss the old days when the girls, especially Sara Jane, were often getting taken over by bad guys. In her final episode, Sara Jane even made a comment about always getting taken over or hypnotized. I guess I'll have to wait a while before I can find out what I think of this episode, though.

The only thing I have had real trouble getting used to is the Doctor and his companion being so lovey-dovey. :) There were sweet and even some tender moments between a few of the Doctors and their companions, but nothin' like this! It was obvious after only one episode the first season that things would be different in the New Doctor Who. :)

(As a side note, if you don't mind minor spoilers, you should check out the BBC's Dr. Who site. They have a great home page with Daleks and the new Cybermen, which look fantastic!)

I hope the Sci Fi Channel renews DW for the new season.
Mmmm...Since both DW and Battlestar Galatica have gotten modern makeovers I wonder what classic will be next..Buck Rogers?Lost In Space?Blakes7?

Well that's hopeful, then! (I even wrote a fan letter to the network, hoping they'd bring on the next season.)

I hope Capt. Jack isn't a big part of the new season, and that the new Doctor is at least almost as good as the old one. (Good thing they kept Rose. It would be too hard to get used to two new people.)

When they showed him at the end I was thinking more of Peter Davison. But with
Tom Baker...hmm no wonder they're bringing back You-Know-Who.

True, but one would think with the success of the first season of the new series that they would want to bring the next season of Dr.Who as well.

Ok,makes sense as they gave Galactica a rest the last time DW was on.
If I guess right I think the schedule would probably look like this:
8:00 Stargate SG1
9:00 Doctor Who
10:00 Battlestar Galactice
11:00 - 2:00 repeats of episodes.
