RPG forum tweaks

Postby Straylight » Fri Jan 30, 2004 6:30 am

Posts made in the RPG forums will now no longer go towards post counts. If your post count has gone down, this will be due to the fact that you have made posts in the RPG forums.

Later on we will implement a seperate post count for these forums.

Good call, I say. Because RPG'ing is more along the lines of Goof-off board stuff than actaul posts. ^^;;;

I'll handle this, as it was my initiative. Considering I have over 12,000 words in the rpg forum and I handle an rpg, I cannot be accused of anything.

Most posting that has been done in the rpg forum is of (no offense intended) low quality and happens en masse. Because multiple individuals in the rpg can be on at the same time, they post back and forth and obtain a great number of posts without actually accomplishing a great deal. There are some notable exceptions, but I'm willing to take that.

Therefore, we decided that posts in the rpg forum are of a different type of post, and should not be lumped with the overall post count.
