Postby blue elf » Mon Jun 26, 2006 9:49 am

I just thought I'd post that according to the http://www.animenation.com news page, anime series of both Deathnote and D. Gray Man are being planned for this fall. I had to anounce it to somebody, because I was excited about it, and I thought everyone should share in my joy! lol ^^

Death Note I have been expecting for a while, and I will probably at least look into it. They should have plenty of budget for nice animation, given the lack of special effects. On the other hand, it will be quite a lot of talking.

However, I hadn't thought about D. Gray-man. That's interesting, though I hope that it doesn't get through the limited plot the series has so far and then fall into mediocre filler. For some reason I'd be very skeptical of any filler based on the series.

Odd, I thought they were just doing the films on "Death Note." All well, does seem interesting (though I have yet to actually read either yet).

Yes >:D I love both of these mangas. Good Shounen ^_^ I love the D.Gray Man manga a lot. I don't enjoy Death Note as much as D.Gray Man though, just because of some spoiler I accidently saw -__-; .... Anywho~ Great news ^__^

I'm most excited about the Deathnote anime, but then, I haven't had that much exposure to D. Gray man yet. I've only read the first volume of D. Gray Man, so I may become more excited about this anime after I've read more. I think both manga series have great artwork though, and I hope they translate that well into the animes.

I am vaguely wondering how well Death Note will translate to animation. As UC said, it's going to be a lot of talking.

Yeah from what I've seen D Gray Man will definately be easier to make into an anime...Though I'm looking forward to Death Note more.

I'm dubious about the Death Note anime because there's so much talking. I just can't see it being very good in anime form. I'll watch it anyways since its my favorite series ^^;

D.Gray Man does sound like it'll be good as an anime. I hadn't heard about it yet, so this is a nice surprise!
