My Avatar is Sango from Inuyasha. I made it myself and I just realized I forgot to but a border on it. :bang: I'll have to fix that.

:Edit: Yay - Pink border for Sango!

It's just showing how easily amused I am, I guess ;) ...I want to have one of those that will cycle several sigs, though...that's cool. :thumb:

Oh, BTW, Edhead, love your avatar!

My avatar is of Takashi Kasuga father of Kyousuke, Kurumi and Manami in Kimagure Orange Road. I picked him because he looks somewhat like me.

Changed mine. Now it's an agent from Detective's Story on the Animatrix.
Although the sig is more Matrix Reloaded-ish... :P

People have mentioned my avatar a couple of times already... I guess it's time for me to explain myself! ^_^;

The animation in my avatar shows the original--but now obsolete--sprites of the lead character in my (still after 10 years!) work-in-progress computer game, The Traveller's Guide. Her name is Melody Rouge, and I originally designed her for the Commodore 64 which only allowed a sprite to have 3 colors--not including the background color--at 22 by 21 pixels. Basically, she's become my mascot.

If anyone's interested, I gave her a majorly updated look for my current (hopefully final!) DirectX version which you can see on the "teaser" page of my site (go to the Project Conglomeration page to find it). Just make sure you've got Jason Summers' MNG4IE plugin installed or you won't see it! (See my Troubleshooting page for more info.)

Now you know why I call myself "The Melody Maker!" ^_^ (It isn't just because I write music. ^_~ )

EXCELLENT! A fellow Commodore hacker!

I'm making great progress on Manga Adventure 64, which is the anime/manga adventure game I'm putting together for the C64. Yesterday I completed the RLE IRQ loader (already wrote the letter-box scroller routine and the sprite multiplexer), and today I'm probably going to tackle the subtitles and the scripting instructions used for manipulating the display while the next scene(s) are fetched from disk.

Music will be next, but I already have the tunes written (just have to transcribe them into VoiceTracker and generate the object files).

I've posted this elsewhere, but here's a sample image:

http://www.floodgap.com/%7Espectre/1-2koa.jpg

Note that due to the animation system used, only the top 2/3 of the screen can be used in any one frame sequence (the bottom 1/3 has to be incorporated into a new frame, since I'm using an FLD-type scroller and I can't pull the screen in the opposite direction).

Woo hoo! :jump:
I finally got an avatar! Thanks, Gypsy, for helping me out!

It's Folken from The Vision of Escaflowne (the series, not the movie). I identify with his character in several ways: quiet and reserved, strategic, analytical, and intellectual, but with some strong ideals and very caring for those close to him.

Mine is Zhou Tai, from the PS2 game Dynasty Warriors 4

Lived from 168-222 or 228 AD
He was a former pirate that joined with Sun Ce of Wu and later became the body guard to his brother Sun Quan. During one battle, where Sun Quan was surrounded with his troops, Zhou Tai personnally went in and used his body as a shield for his king's brother and all their troops to escape. In the process, he suffered 12 terrible wounds over his body and face.

Unfaltering, unwavering, and completely devoted, someone whom I can relate to.

Mine is Kairi from KH. I thought it was really cute. I don't have a sig though. I don't have enough skill for something to that magnitude.
"So David said to Michal, "It was before the LORD, who chose me instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel. Therefore I will play music before the LORD. And I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight. But as for the maidservants of whom you have spoken, by them I will be held in honor."
