In a recent broadcast of Hide-chan Radio, Kojima has indeed confirmed that MGS is headed for the silver screen! :)

"Speculation has been flying about a silver screen Metal Gear Solid adaptation, but series creator Hideo Kojima has been tightlipped. In a recent broadcast of Hide-chan Radio, Kojima announced that MGS was indeed getting made into a feature film. “We’re going to do it as a movie,â€

Hmm... Sounds good, if it is MGS. After seeing the Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence movie cut, I can believe they can make the original into a movie. A three and a half hour movie, though.

However, I'm still really worried, because I love all of the voices MGS. Yeah, I'm fine with like Christian Bale or someone playing as Solid Snake or something, but I really can't see another person doing Colonel Campbell or Liquid.

Nevertheless, things *are* looking a little better for Video Game movies with this and Halo. I wish it the best.

That`s cool, BUT won`t Snake be Japanese then? Won`t work.

I think Christian Bale is playing Sam Fisher in Splinter Cell.

Whoever does whatever, Sean Connery should play Big Boss... Since that's who they modeled Big Boss after in Metal Gear 2 (sorry, subsistence players, they changed all the pictures because they wanted to make them fit MGS...)

I'd only watch it if Uwe Boll did it.

As for Snake's race, the artist said he always thought of Snake as half-American and half-Japanese.

yea but then that wouldn't be metal gear(not that they have ever been bad) but MGS as a movie will most likely will be R-rated material (blood, violence, possible sexuality, and language)

I have to agree with Link.

With the voices and graphics on the MGS series its hard to picture someone else playing them, as in comes to apperances I'm confident they could find someone that will look like the characters but what about thier voices?

Maybe The voice actors of the game can dub all the actors voices! ;)

All sillyness aside I am looking foward to this movie.

I think I would prefer an animated film. But a live action might not stink. If Kojima has full power over things that is.

I don't see how he would, though, with Hollywood being a bastion of evil and all that.

I'd rather see this movie get canned and just go play the games if I want to experience Metal Gear again.

I would prefer an animated film if Japan made it. For some reason, Japanese action thrillers are much more.....how should I say this? Low Budget.

Compare Godzilla 2000 to the American-MAde 1997 Godzilla.
