Okay, that's cool. It's just hard to tell sometimes with the 'net.

Yeah, Weezer isn't the 'come on strong' kind of stuff where little emo kids cry and make their eyeliner run, but their subject matter is sorta emo... with some comedy splashed in.

I would say Coheed and Cambria if you're looking for straight-up rock and roll, but I don't think you'd like their lyrics. They get a little intense sometimes. And the new album has a few "bad" words in it.

I don't see whats so bad about Emo, I mean I listen to Metal and really heavy stuff as well but I'm not all stuck up about it. It's just a genre (love the hair :D)

I've always meant to check out Beloved. They have an album entitled 'FAILURE ON', which is a combination of Ken Andrews' first 2 bands. I want to see if they get any influence from Ken ('cause he's my favorite artist of all time).

The Running EP by Beloved...Yes I own it. It was actually recorded before Failure On, and it's what got them signed. They remastered it and rereleased it on SolidState. It's just as good as Failure On...Maybe even better.

It should be easy to find...They sell it pretty much everywhere. You should try a Best Buy or something.

Vaeda is an alternative progressive rock band I found today; well actually, they found me, since their drummer sent me a friend request (must've been quite random since they're from New York and I'm from Wisconsin...) and I decided to check them out.

Try some good art rock/album rock from the 60-80's it kills everything out today musically and lyrically.

Rush, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Yes, Jethro Tull, Genesis, Cream, Emerson Lake and Palmer, The Yardbirds, The Who, Frank Zappa, U2, Bruce Hornsby, Queen, David Bowie, The Beatles, John Mellencamp, Steve Miller Band, Boston, etc. you can't go wrong with anything there.

Just a personal taste, I don't want to sound like a music snob. I even like alot of the new stuff some people are mentioning like Coheed and Cambria, Five Iron Frenzy, The Foo Fighters, etc. But it's like a Devil's Food Cake from Coldstone versus a Dairy Queen Vanilla Cake. I like them both but one doesn't even compare to the other.

Meh. Theres a time for whininess (word?) just as theres a time for operatic vocals, vocoders, screeching, growling and good old fashioned singing :)
