I finally saw the new version and I absolutley love it! What do yo uall think compared to the book and the older movie?
I think Keria Knightley and the new Darcy guy did a great job! ^^

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm glad you approve. I've been holding off from renting it (it didn't make theaters around here) because I figured that I'd be just as well off buying it. Did you ever see the movie they made early 2000, I think? It was approved by the Jane Austen Society, but it was horrible! You shouldn't be able to marry off Mary to Collins and not be shunned by the J.A. Society.

That, ladies and dolls, is just not cricket.

Thankfully there are no such atrocities in the newest release. I read the book shortly before seeing the film and was pleased find the general sequence of events preserved, along with virtually all of my favorite lines. Plus, the acting is great and the scenery is gorgeous, with action and emotion filling in where printed words leave off. It's a book movie that neither disrespects the book nor forgets that it is a movie.

I thought that it was quite good. And as Nick said the scenery is gorgeous.

I heard a lot of people were unimpressed. I keep debating myself whether to see it or not.

I enjoyed it. It started a little slow, but it got quite good later on. The scenery was incredible, and the acting was really good. Even though I've never read the book, I thought it was very well done, overall.

And just for the record...Mr. Darcy was hot. XD
