We should probably also mention that you need a special program to participate in bittorrent downloads (which are really quite convenient). There are plenty of them free online, the basic one being BitTorrent. Most people will recommend one of the variations, however, of which there are a number. I use BitTornado, myself, because the interface works better for what I want. But as far as I know, all clients are interchangeable.
