I meant the movies and not the tv series. The tv series has 167 episode in it and is finished in Japan.Although it is said that Rumiko Takahashi is continuing it in manga form.

Is the TV series Inuyasha really finished or is it only on hiatus? Inuyasha is a very popular show and I can't see why they would end it before the author herself did so. It's fortunate that Rumiko Takahashi is continuing Inuyasha in the manga.

It is for all intents and purposes finished. From all that I understand episode 167 was the final episode in Japan.

Well, since the anime's all finished, I suppose that we should say which episodes were our favorites. My favorite group of episodes were the ones from when Sesshōmaru attempts to break the Tetsusaiga to when he saves Rin by using the Tenseiga. But as a stand alone episode, I consider the one where Inuyasha defeats Goshinki to be the best (that wasn't an easy victory!).

Oh, I'm sorry for giving that away. I thought that those particular episodes I mentioned would be safe to talk about since they occurred during the first 3/11 of the series (i.e. approximately episodes 1-45) and I thought that everyone had seen them by this time. Imagine that! Three-elevenths of Inuyasha is nearly the same length as two complete twenty-six episode series!

My theory about the last ep. Trap of the Cursed Wall Hanging is that the reason
Sango was captured and Kagome wasn't was because Sango still had negative
feelings about Miroku while Kagome only has positive feelings toward Inuyasha.
From what it appears the Demon can only feed on the negative energy of women who have lost or been rejected in love and Kagome, ever since Inuyasha rescued her from Kagura can only have positive since she knows he will always be there for her despite the fact he still has feelings for Kikyo as well.

I like the DVD version better.Uncut and they also have the opening themes.
Evil AS for not showing the opening themes which are really tremendous.

Though the DVD's include the opening songs, I'm surprised that Viz doesn't put more stuff into them. There's practically no interesting extras; not even previews of other shows! It would be nice if they were to put out-takes into the extras sections, or are the English voice actors so perfect that they make no errors during recording?

I guess you will have to write Viz about that. The one thing the ones I have include are ads for other Rumiko Takahashi series:Ranma 1/2 and Maison Ikkoku.

Perhaps if you decided to learn Japanese, they wouldn't be so against you watching anime. It would make it more of an educational than an idle pursuit since you'd be training your ear as well as having fun (provided that you watch it subbed). Being a Japanese interpreter is a lucrative job (about $45.00 an hour, according to one resource).

I can't wait to see how the Inuyasha manga ends, which is about forty-four chapters from now if Rumiko Takahashi does not decide to exceed the five hundred chapter goal she placed on the manga.

Ah..the fun of the DVDs is that when you buy them you don't have to worry about any commercials when you watch. In a perfect world we'd all have enough money and space to buy every Inuyasha DVD and manga avaible.

I have to agree. I stopped watching Adult Swim a while ago. Any anime that I watch is from my DVD collection or whatever is shown at the Anime Club.

Out of curiosity, which sword in Inuyasha does everyone think is the most aesthetically pleasing? I'd say Sesshōmaru's Tenseiga tops both the Tōkijin and the Tetsusaiga in this category.

Hmmmm....well the card I got was called Kagome's Protector.Evidently it's a rare card used whenever the Kagome card is in danger and you can use it to deflect damage to her on to Inuyasha instead.
