Computers leading to Memory Loss?

Postby CobaltAngel » Sun Dec 21, 2003 4:32 pm

I heard on the radio a while back that studies in Japan linked computers to short-term memory loss.
Now I have an excuse for my poor memory! *runs around gleefully, then stops* What was I so happy about? *stares at computer screen*

BOOSTER: Hey, No.1! Where's my cake?!
SNIFIT 1: Booster, Sir! There's a 70% chance the object you're standing on is a cake.
BOOSTER: What? THIS thing's a cake?

People who write below their abilities in order to crank out tons of books and make a buck. Especially Christian authors who do that. Outsiders judge us for it, and make fun of us for it, and it makes Jesus look bad. We of all artists on earth should be the most concerned with doing our best possible work at all times. We of all people should write with all our hearts, as if writing for the Lord and not for men.

Oh yeah. If you try to install a RAM chip onto a motherboard that doesn't properly support it, memory go bye-bye. (Or possibly the other way around; the memory can lead to computer loss. )

Through the Lord's good mercy, I have yet to have either one of those happen on me.

I think it might have something to do with internet conversation you know. In real life, you're forced to remember what people have said. In an IM or threaded forum convo, the computer keeps a log of what is said, which you can refer to. Perhaps this makes your brain's memory lazy?

P.S. Make sure to F11 (on IE, anyhow) and make it full screen for best effect... and... Um... Close all other programs, because the flash animation takes a lot of ram and resources for some reason... AKA, no Kazaa and no Norton and no whatever else that takes loads of resources...

P.P.S I don't like the new "link" look... Because it doesn't look like a link... The first "System is down" is the link...

Man, that site made my head hurt... It would be funny if that site, which was making fun of the Pokémon incident (but the "Seizure Robot" thing came from Simpsons), actually caused people to have seizures... I thought that exact thing before, when I watched the actual simpsons episodes... The end credits were playing like that, and I wondererd if anyone may have seizures from the end credits, and SIMPSONS would have caused a problem exactly like what they were making fun of... That would have been delicious, because I do get sick of everyone blowing that Pokémon thing out of proportion.
