The Kakashi-Sensei Book Club!

Postby KhakiBlueSocks » Sat Jan 21, 2006 8:02 pm

(I hope this thread gets more posts than my last few attempts! :shake: )

I was watching Naruto tonight (Which is pretty odd for me) and I noticed that our favorite sensei is always reading the same book. So I was thinking, why don't we pick out a new book for Kakashi-sensei to indulge in! It can be real or imaginary (Though real would be prefered). I'll start:

"Iron Chef: The Official Book"
Joshua: Hebrew -The LORD is Salvation

I'll take a wild stab at the idea that Kakashi seems to be always reading the same book because he's probably re-reading particular scenes from the same book.

I have a rather lengthy list of titles he would likewise enjoy, but they're not suitable for posting here.

To give details that no one cares about, I'm fairly certain that Kakashi is actually supposed to be progressing through the series. Though Lady Macbeth's assertion probably has some validity. I've found Masashi Kishimoto's responses to questions about it (which seem to come up in almost all interviews, Japanese and American) rather amusing.

I think Kakashi would probably read DBZ. It would be like an inspirational work for him.

Kakashi reading Z would be awesome. But he seems like he would rather read Samurai Deeper Kyo or maybe Inuyasha.

Take a shot at who writes Kakashi's books
Jirayia aka Eero Sennin/Perverted Hermit. He's one of the 3 legendary sennin
He's such a great character

That's the Viz translation. I don't know if scanlation groups do it differently, but I know at least one friend of mine who knows Japanese thinks "IchaIcha" should be "ComeCome." I'll leave it at that.

Now to quibble over pointless details: I thought that the series was originally a trilogy and then that only recently Jiraya wrote a fourth book, Tactics. Wasn't there another book prior to it? Not that it matters. At all...

Somehow, I don't see Kakashi-sensei reading about the misadventures of Tohru and company. :eyeroll:

So he's reading about himself, reading ABOUT himself! If that isn't a paradox, I don't know what is. :bang:

After this diasterous incident, he's probably reading up on how to avoid ravid fangirls at an anime convention:

 Since this seems to be about what manga Kakashi should read I vote he should read Maison Ikkoku. :thumb:
That way he could figure out wheter or not Yusaku belongs with Kyoko or
Kozue.
