Godbit Project

If there are any web developers or designers, particularly for your churches, then I'd like to introduce you to the Godbit Project. I found this site a few months ago from one of the blogs that I keep up with.

Basically, a staggering amount of church websites are really, well, bad. They look like they belong in the wonderful place that was Geocities in 1996 and they're coded just as well.

Enter Godbit. The purpose of Godbit is to educate and raise awareness in churches and help their sites "catch up", so to speak, in terms of coding practices, a la the W3C standards, and design.

Godbit has a gallery of featured sites that highlight high quality church and Christian websites, coded with web standards. They also have articles about the theology and technology behind church websites. They even have a forum.

So go check them out if you're interested in web standards and the like.
