Alright, here's the plan... This is the chance for everyone with a microphone to shine. Find one of your favorite Christmas Carols and record yourself singing it (with no instrumental backup)! Then, host the mp3 (you can record mp3s with the program Audacity) on a site like putfile.com and post it here! Don't worry if your voice sounds funny, nobody's gonna laugh at you!

I'll start so you all can hear the mucus in my voice and not be afraid to post your own >_>

Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Okay. I've had some complaints that the putfile version throws tantrums, so I've got both versions here. Please try the putfile one first, though.

P.S. I know my voice sucks...be gentle. ^^;;

Edit: Osaka, I love your "12 Days After Christmas"! :lol: I've never heard it before]

I wish I had! No, I heard it a few weeks ago at a Christmas banquet and it quickly became one of my favorite Christmas songs ever! What's really great is when a girl and a guy sing it as a Duet and he interject random sarcasm during the song like:

Girl: On the First Day after Christmas my true love and I had a fight.
Guy: And it wasn't the first time either!

I'm glad you liked it!

And Nette, You sing REALLY well! *puts on her "I'm 'Nette's number one fan!"* button.

Those are fantabulous, everyone! I especially loved Osaka's piece. I just HAD to print out the lyrics to show my mom.. *snicker* An-chan, you sang beautifully! And you say you fake your vibrato. Well, you do an extremely good job. XD I want to sing a duet with you!

Anyway, I wanted to sing Deck the Halls and O Come All Ye Faithful but people are here~ XD So...in that case, I'll upload a (horribly resonant) recording of Silent Night. I recorded this days ago, when I was sick with a cold.

I must say krescent, very impressive. The cool eccoey effect was pretty as well =) WTG!

Want to hear my version of wish you were here? I just made it, its not REALLY a x-mas carol but come on! I can make it one cant I? Its christmassy because I love you all and wish you were here! Instead of over there. It'd be nice to meet each other during x-mas but it most likely won't happen. so ya! go me. And yes, I know I can't sing, I sang comically on purpose (even though you can barely hear it =) and... I didnt get to the actual wish you were here part. I don't know how to play it x) but its the thought that counts! =D

o.o/))

Someone said she'd die from cuteness over load if I did this...

So I did... But I cant get it to mp3 format >_>;; So I guess it has to stay in wav. But, Mp3 stuff still plays wav stuff right? At least for me it does. Anyway, I didn't think it was all that good, but people said it was awesome so....

Im pondering doing another version though.

Oh, and at the end I purr. >_>;;

EDIT: New Version, Nya and purring mixed... Still wav format, working on finding a way to convert it though. XD

Sonic! Get closer to the mic! xD
Krescent you sound awsome, and the echo effect is not wasted.

Anyone else thinking of combining all of them to give to the mods for Christmas?

Behold: The Warriors (Warrior 4 Jesus & Warrior4Christ) with Hark the Herald Angels Sing.

http://s35.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=06M4PVR92KB6Q300UZMQCSO66U

We *ahem* 'bent' the rules a little :sweat:.

W4J recorded the vocals first, so I had to go by his timing. :shady:
And I just made up the bass notes, so I hope it sounds about right...

I kinda sounds a bit dodgy because only I realised after that the bass was being recorded through the microphone (which happened to be in close proximity to the sub...) rather than the line in. :mutter:

But here's a much better version of it than ours:

http://www.mp3.com.au/track.asp?id=17059 (demo track)

How many Christmas carols do you know with a wicked guitar solo in the middle?
It was incidentally done by a band my guitar teacher used to be in (he was singing and playing guitar obviously).
Everywhere like such as, and MOES.
