Wild ARMs Anime

Postby Tommy » Sun Nov 27, 2005 12:02 pm

I heard in Japan there`s a popular anime based off the videogame series called Wild ARMs but it won`t be released in America since the Wild ARMs video game series isn`t that popular here. -They still rock though-

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about it. Like, if it`s a stand alone or if it follows a game. Thanks in advance.

ADV began releasing the single volumes (5 altogether) of Wild Arms on region 1 DVD in February of 2003. The good news is that as of this past October you can now purchase the thinpack of the series with all 22 episodes.

Most reviews I have read give the show good marks. However, many view the show as mostly filler, not following the game too much.

Yeah, the series has been released for a while, honestly...I have them all. It's really not a great series, honestly. It's kinda dull.

It doesn't follow any of the games, honestly. No attempts are made to explain the current state of Filgaia, and there are no Guardians mentioned (except for Luceid, who shows up at the end), and no Elw. Mirabelle is a Crimson Noble, and Loretta is a Crest Sorceress. There's also Isaac and Jersuha, who look KINDA like Wind Mice, but the anime calls them Popepi Pipepo, so whatever. Oh, and Irving Vold Valeria, the noble from the second game, is in it too, but he bears no resemblance whatsoever to his twin in the game, personality-wise.

If you really want to check it out, you can...Alter Code F comes with a DVD that has the first episode on it, so you can make your judgements from there. The theme song is really awesome, at least.
