The "Anime Shows That Should Exist Based on Other Things" Thread

Postby Tommy » Tue Oct 04, 2005 5:03 pm

I personally believe that Squaresoft should make an anime series of "Xenogears" based on their RPG hit. It would be a great moneymaking stradegy and the enitre game`s plot would be a perfect size for a series.

That game should have an anime series as well as "Chrono Trigger" and "Grandia". Think about it, not only do these games have anime cutscenes but they would fit perfect for a series!

Does anyone agree?

Well, there are several anime based on games... but they tend to be pretty bad.

It would be great if they made a whole series of FF7, since I thought Last Order was VERY well done! Yay Madhouse! Not sure if it would fit into 26 eps... maybe, but probably one of the series that need at least 52 eps to cover everything...

There IS a Manga that was running around the time of the movies. No idea if they kept up the series though (this image would have been in Mainichi Shinbun back in 2003 or earlier)

An anime/manga based on the book 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea would be interesting to see...
"Have mercy on me O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion, blot out my transgressions" Psalm 51:1

"Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth, you will again bring me up." Psalm 71:20

I started drawing a manga based off of Frank Perreti's book "The Oath." Needless to say not much happened with it. I'd like to see an anime based off of my comic "Edge Of Solace."

On the note of the Lord of the Rings manga/anime...a anime based off from some of the older writings from Tolkein such as Lay of Luthein and Tale of Turumbar would be awesome as well.

An anime based on one of the Ace Combat series, would also be very cool to watch :jump:.

I think an anime based on Gran Turismo 3 would be neat. Maybe Nightrider or Dukes of Hazard, or Mad Max. A Ghostbusters anime would be cool, especially if you get all the actors from the movie to do it.

I already have the English voice cast for the Star Trek anime in mind:
Crispin Freeman as the Captain
Kari Wahlgren as the First Officer
Scott McNeil as the Chief of Security
Michelle Ruff as the Communication's Officer
Wendee Lee as the Ship's Chief Medical Officer
Richard Cox as the Navigator
and Jerry Mathers as the Beaver!

I would really love to see an anime based on the game Grim Fandango. If they could keep some of the parts as subtle as the game then it would be excellent!!

An anime of the game "Front Mission Three"...One of the coolest video games ever in my humble opinion.

There's an anime coming out based on 'The Count of Monte Cristo', if anyone is interested.
