CN's Bobobo~bo Bo~bobo

Postby Puguni » Sat Oct 01, 2005 9:00 pm

...I didn't know how many bo's were in the title...

Anywho, did anyone else catch the premiere? I remember seeing this title last year and found myself thinking this was some C-grade anime. So I watched it, and I was so...well, I sat kind of staring at the screen, bewildered. There is some plot, but they managed to put all these random things in!! It's so random! You can totally see the DBZ influences in there, but it's so different. It's immature, yes, but I laughed. And I don't do that usually with anime. I think I'll try to keep up with it.

I saw it... and laughed as well. Having seen a preview issue of the manga in last month's Shonen Jump, I was at least a little prepared for the wierdness, though seeing it in motion and hearing it in english is quite an experience. That campy Elvis voice really suits the attitude of the show.

I wish I knew what all the subtitles said, though. I spent a lot of the episode feeling left out of a joke...

What an utter peice of crap this show was. I don`t like when little kid shows have Homosexuals, and there was one in that episode. Unless it was a bald girl with a man`s voice.

Ugh.....They should put this on Tickle-U or something minus the Homo guy. It was very lame....VERY lame!

What a special ability "I can understand the thoughts of hair too".

Pathetic.

Baldy-Bald`s minions would`ve made great minions in a serious anime show as far as appearence go. If this show is supposed to be funny in a stupid way, they failed. BAD!

I found it to be somewhat humerous. In esscence, it's one of the stupidest things ever created. But it's so stupid it's funny. The show is meant to pick fun Japanese/Anime pop culture. Some references will no doubt be lost to non Japanese audiences, but if you pay attention, there are quite a few humorous gags referencing other anime and various anime stereotypes.

The dub was pretty good. They managed to find the BEST voice for Bobobo.

I love the whole "I'm an intence loner that no one understands" theme, and the absurd lengths it's taken to.

...that and the senseless rejection of the pickle guy

Just the fact that someone finally made an anime where the hero fights martial arts with his nose hair was enough to sell me. XD

I am sorry, I missed this anime. I was babysitting last night..

but it looked retarded... I mean... I dunno..I am all for comedy anime...but... I guess I like plot as well.. DECENT plot.. I think my favorite episodes of Excel saga were the three actual serious ones...

I might watch this though.. I am not sure... it looked really stupid to me..

AND DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW MANY BO-BO's Are in this title? I think even CN ppl have a hard time with it... >.<

I read the manga in Shonen, laughed a bit. I will give them some points for being orginal and creative, but the shows humor would be wasted on me.

I do like the nose hairs though

I love this anime! I call it the best anime in the Comedy/Action genre. You just instantly (almost) love with the characters. And what does Bo have against that pickle guy?

i can't say i enjoyed this one. it's nothing i'd purposely try to watch. i'd much rather have rouroni kenshin back. but it's not a big disappointment, i didn't have high hopes for it in the first place. its just not my style.

i'm not even going to bother with this show. it looks stupid so it's probably funny and easy to get hooked on and i'm not making that same mistake that i did with yu-gi-oh (it took years to break that addiction)

Why must we be abandoned in times of need?
Do others not see when we yearn for their touch;
An insatiable hunger only they can feed.
Left alone with out their words – fallen into darkness.
Stumbling blindly without their light,
We fall and scream, knowing we've faced too much,
Knowing the only answer is flight.
Flight from the lives we once faced
And the joys and terrors others have brought.
Our time with them, a time of joy and life,
Wonder we all, was it for naught?

Haha!! I watched this one while I was babysitting last night...And I never thought I'd say it, but I believe it to be crazier than Furi Kuri. Yes. It actually did make me laugh a few times...especially at all of the scenes of BoBo as a kid! XD All curled up and rejected! I kind of had this weird look on my face throughout the entire thing...A mixture of "Haha!" and "Huh?" and "I can't believe they made a show about a guy who fights with his nosehiars!" Overall, I thought it was pretty funny, and I'll probably watch it again, if I ever get the chance. I doubt it'll be a favorite of mine or anything, but still worth a free view on TV. :D

I watched it for no better reason then it came on while I was playing a video game. Very strange. I liked it better than Excel Saga, but what's Bo's problem with pickles?

Ok, Maybe this show will become enjoyable if you look at it from a different light.

I saw it as:
An attempt to make it pure action.

I now see it as:
A fun-filled whacky crazy show with humor that`s so stupid and childish it`s funny.

I liked Excel Saga until it got majorly perverted, so I'll definitely have to check this one out if possible. How bad is it as far as content?

It doesn't appear to have any content issues, but I have not seen anything that hasn't been shown on CN.
