I know I have seen information on this title before, but I ran a search for it and couldn't find it. Could anybody give me background information on this? Swearing? Gore? Anything a Christian might want to know. Don't be afraid to grill it if you feel you have to. I have run into too many bad situations with anime and manga because people were soft on a series.

I don't know too much about it....the gist of the story as much as I recall, some normal dude gets inhabited by the spirit of a very violent samurai...sais samurai wants revenge or something and is positively beserk. I assume it's violent....>.> but that's all I know.

I've read a lot of the manga but I haven't seen any of the anime. Not even a commercial. Though I do want to. :-:

In the manga there is a bit of fighting and gore-ishness. But like I said thats the manga. And animes have been known to be opposite the manga. Like in saiyuki where the manga was all> blood blood gore. and then the anime when someone died they turned into millions of dust particals and floated into nothingnes o_o;

I saw the anime quite some time back. It wasn't the best, but quite good. Quite a lot of violence, but not much blood or gore. No sexual content or nudity I think. (There is one joke with sexual reference in the first episode I think, but it's still quite innocent). I don't think there were much cussing (if any). Nor do I remeber anything else that offended me as a christian.
It is a while, though, since I watched it so it could be more offencive than I remember, but I don't think so

great show but read the manga its a lot better the show but kyo is awsome and so is kyoshiro

Violence, probably about the level of Kenshin.

Profanity-i watched it subbed, some d*mns and h*lls,

nudity-in the first 3 eps or so, there is a tiny bit of fanservice and one or 2 echhi references, but nothing worse than say what was in either Nadesico or even AzuDah.

Spiritual things-yeah. kyo is a demon, there is a demon king whose minions call The Lord, and lots of other supernatural things for humans-powers and whatnot.

ps, from what I've gathered, the manga has more of everything in it...

Namelessknight 'bout said everything I was going to...but the manga's better and makes more sense than the anime... I read and watched both...so if I were to pick I'd pick the manga but both are really really good I love the series ^^

I would like to warn you about the manga though. It has quite a bit of fanservice and has justly earned the Teen Plus rating. There is also a fair amount of swearing and violence. I have no clue as to what the anime is like though.
