I agree with Kkun and Yukuo - the 'Christian Saga' misrepresented Christianity rather than purposely tried to bash it due to ignorance. You have to realize that the Japanese are mostly into Shintoism and Buddhism and they don't really understand Christianity. So anime series usually blow it when they try to depict Christians.
The whole feng Shui story arc was pathetic filler episodes. Believe me, you weren't missing anything when CN decided not to air those stinkers.

It would have been offensive, but the conclusion is good.
We find out that the villain is certainly not the Son of God, and he realizes it himself. I also love Sayo's death scene, where she says she only blindly believed in God until that point (until then she was very blind to the truth and claimed to be a believer but didn't act like one, long story). It seems she found the Lord truly before dying. ^^
Jeikobu's right. Sayo exemplified true Christianity far better than her brother did. She certainly gave Sano a few things to think about, and hopefully the anime audience at large as well.
I liked the fact that the background story about their parents was pretty historically accurate, though the shimabara revolt and the backlash against Christianity that followed it happened much earlier than the 1800s.

was there animation where enishi and kenshin fought? besides the reflections?
the fight during reflections was so...few. A lot of scenes were not included.
like when
enishi evaded amakakeru
I haven't seen that much of it, but what I have seen or heard about, Christians have a fairly decent and historical role. I believe the Christians in Japan at that time were called the Keikyo.

Has anyone seen the RK movie?
The one where Kenshin dies? :sniffle: that was so sad
I'm just wondering how many people saw that.

From what I've heard, if you missed 'Reflections' you haven't missed much! Evidently, the people who produced it didn't listen to Watsuki's (creator of Rurouni Kenshin) wishes when they wrote it and it's not the ending he wanted for Kenshin at all.

As far as I'm concerned, 'Reflections' never happened!

I just watched "Reflections" again. Despite the fact they Watsuki didn't have a big hand to play on it, I still love the movie nevertheless. So sad.
