Do you like Karaoke?

Why?

Did you first start it because of Japanese inspiration or something else?

What language do you sing in?

Do you own a karaoke system?

:D I love karaoke...although I prefer to drive to a town where no one knows me in order to do it <.<

I just like to sing and be silly, and I like to sing whatever song fits my mood...but only if I'm not the only one out of my group singing. I sing in English because I'm fairly certain nowhere around here has any Japanese karaoke songs xD

Do I ever!!! Karaoke is the greatest entertainment! It encompasses all of the makings of a great time! Music! Making a fool of yourself in public! Getting your friends to join in making fools out of themselves in public! More music!

I sing in English as it is the language I know best and there are few if any places around here that do karaoke in other languages. I would love to find a place that has those Japanese-style karaoke boxes, though. A person could really cut loose if it was just a small group of friends in a sound-proof room instead of a bunch of strangers in a bar.

I have never done karaoke, nor do I plan to. It would take someone very special to get me to do it.

I guess I'm just shy xD

I don't mind singing in a shower ever now a then. But singing in public? Not too sure about that one. My voice isn't the greatest
*clears voice*

I've never actually tried it, so I can't really say. I would have to get over my stage fright and shyness.

Edit:

I hate Karaoke. Might have something to do with the fact that I can't sing.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Posh. Very few people can actually NOT sing. VERY few. Most people who say that are merely not very confident. :) *coughPhillipcough*

At any rate, it's not about going and sounding good! :D It's about going and being silly with your friends! Very rarely do people REALLY sound GOOD when they're doing karaoke. Like Capn Crack said, it's fun to make fools of yourself and get your friends to do the same :D

Karaoke can be a lot of fun!

While everyone naturally tries their best to sing well, it's the most fun when everyone has a good laugh by mock-singing or by attempting to revamp the lyrics to make them sound silly. XD

Did you know that there is Karaoke Revolution for PS2?

Anyway, I hate Karaoke but manage to do it everytime there is a big party. All the Karaoke discs I've seen so far are from the Philippines....

Karaoke Revolution

Postby ~Natsumi Lam~ » Thu Aug 11, 2005 10:23 am

Yea i have Karaoke Revolution.... i think it is very good for those who have trouble hearing the correct notes. Also, it teachers you the correct[ or supposed] wat to sing the song... so if you are worried about singing in public, try this game that is on PS2 and x-box. It really helps boost the confidence level.

Actually, you can technically score well in KR without even singing words AT ALL. It mainly watches your pitch and timing.

Will not recount the embarassing moments it caused. ^^;
