I guess the devil has yet to get it into his head that he was already defeated when our Lord rose from the dead. We'll just have to remind him that he can't go around acting as though he hasn't been. (Hope I'm not sounding too deep here.)

My sister and I used to do that... stomp on the ground over and over just to put the devil in his place. And we'd yell "We love you, we love you" because we thought that would make him madder.

well, only thing we can do now is just get that shield up and running all the time. good thing they are all the kiddies. if they had one of those real good hacker... but i doubt there will be a professional one that'll join such lowly activity anyway.

It's a waste of time for them. For us, it's a marvelous oppertunity, but not on the boards. I would personally just like this place to be a place of Christian fellowship - with no argument, just a place to fellowship. But that's me.

Yeah, that's the latest tactic: come in, make a few innocent posts or just register, then attack another day. :stressed:

I would think they would have something better to do than to be such pests, but I guess not.

I just don't see *why* they don't give up already. I mean, it's not like they're going to convince anyone of anything other than the stupidity of trolls. . .

Two verses came to mind for me to post about this:
"Therefore, among God's churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring."-- 2 Thess. 1:4

" know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked men, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. 3You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary." -- Rev. 2:2-3

All I have to say is, it's apparhent in the Bible that trials will come to us. I'd say as an online ministry, this IS our trial; that's pretty obvious. The real test is how we'll respond time and time again...Satan's going to keep attacking us, and we're going to have to keep staying strong--no matter how many bannings it takes. But as Shoo mentioned on another thread, I don't think we need to be actively persecuting them either; that'll just fuel their hatred against us. I'm not saying we should be passive either, but we do need to find the balance between turning the cheek and the righteous anger.

Besides, the staff especially has grown much wiser and stronger because of this, and we will continue to do so. My point is, I know how frustrating these people are, but instead of continually complaining (I know how easy it is, trust me), let's just keep moving. Eventually these things will pass too.

Stay encouraged everyone, and remember that similiar things to the scriptures posted may one day be said of us!

IMHO, with a username like that, he's a stealth troll who will most likely post hentai during a time when the mods are offline. Maybe I'm too cynical, but someone registering with a name like that rings all kind of troll alarms with me. . .

Hmm... since I did come to this forum through a rather 'interesting' route, I'll post a little something here:

I'd like to remind any Christian here that stands up for their beliefs and even goes an extra step and puts up public forums/displays of their faith that you WILL BE TESTED by those who have little or no faith in Jesus.

Ashley nailed this one on the head, and thanks for the biblical refences - I'dd add a couple of my own, but I'm tired, and my Bible's in my car and I'm not going out to get it (I'm lazy sometimes. ;2).

Anyways, know that the Dark One will do anything in this world to squelch, stain, hurt, maim, still, quiet, or erstwile TROLL the living daylights out of anyone standing up in public (real life or in the Internet) for the name of Jesus.

I should know. I used to run an IRC forum #Jesus! a long time ago, where I would open up debates and fellowships with people of all kinds of faiths and denominations.

It wasn't but the first ten minutes after just starting this 'online ministry' that someone came in and basically 'ad hominym' attacked me, Jesus, and everything else this person related to Him and His Love. It found me, and it found me in no time.

Well, to make a long story short, after about a year of running this channel, I dropped that ministry because for a while I was hurt (from things mainly outside, though related to the IRC channel), but I know someday I'll likely start it again, all the stronger, and when I know I'm led to do so.

Anyways, I hope this is an encouragement. I'm tired, so I don't know if this post is that encouraging, so please excuse my rapid loss of conscious thought.

I think I need to sleep.

wow..im sick for a week and drama insues...wierd
im not sure exactly what happened,but if i can be of anyhelp...let me know.i used to moderate a gaming forum,and i know trolls can be a real pain.
we had some people that would sign up under 10 differnt names and actualy argue with themselves.i remeber spending hours checking logs ..emails..sing up times....ip/isp's
sure hope this gets sorted out easyer than that mess
