Funimation Uncut DVD's being rated!!

Postby Knives » Sun Jul 10, 2005 7:13 pm

I was on the funimation website and I noticed that shows that DVD's that were supposedly uncut (fma, gunslinger girl) had ratings such as TV PG, and TV 14. Have these DVD's really been rated by the TV ratings place? If so, then many of the DVD's would have to be edited. (There is nudity in FMA, so it couldnt be only tv pg) I think it would be kind of cool if the DVD's they released were rated, dont you?
EDIT: I also noticed on the back of a dvd at store that it had "TV PG" on it.
EDIT #2:
...Fullmetal Alchemist is rated TV-PG. The...

Funimation started using the TV rating system on their shows as it's more well known than the one they were using before. So, instead of "13-up" on the back of the case, it will say "TV-PG" or "TV-14."

And, yes, their shows are 100% uncut.

Hm. Depends on the context. If a heroine loses her top for no reason in particular, it's bad. But if it's more like renaissance art, I'm not bothered by it.

I like that they are uncut. I like to write poetry and it make me mad when someone cuts someone else's art. I perfer uncut

Uncut anyday, but depending on which, sometimes anime being cut is good, depending on content and context.

I like it uncut too. Mostly because most of the time anime people seem to know the difference between shock value and putting it in for the sake of story. Yes, there are exceptions, like FLCL, but I did say MOST.
