Hey everybody, just a quick question... I need some advice on drawing feet/shoes... lol yeah i know it sounds weird, but i think that's one of my weaker spots right now, and I'd like to work on it. Unfortunately, I have yet to get my pictures posted here because I still have yet to get them small enough to attach. :stressed: Oi... well any advice would be appreciated, later dayz. :)

well...i don't know if you mean small kb wise or small pixel wise.but anyways,if you need to reduce the file size, open mspaint(assuming your os is windows) and open your image. then hit file, then save as,then select jpeg as the file format. then save. vioula, a smaller ,kb wise, picture. and if you wanna reduce the actual size of the image open mspaint select image, select stretch/skew then enter a new size based on percentage. this will reduce the actual image size. do them both and you have a very small file size and an image resized to your liking. thats the simple way anyways. about the feet,i suggest you head to your local waldens books, brenatos,or another major book retailer and look for a series called,"how to draw manga". these books are setup to focus on a certain aspect of the "anime/manga style". this is where i got my style. i highly suggest this line of books.

This is gonna sound really dumb, but I've found it helps, as far as shoes go, to just go -get- a pair of shoes and set them on the floor in front of you. Or get some unlucky...er...helpful person to stand there and pose for you...:thumb: LOL Or a catalog that features footwear might help also, plus you get many diff styles that way.

SNIFIT 1: Booster, Sir! There's a 70% chance the object you're standing on is a cake.
BOOSTER: What? THIS thing's a cake?

(in response to an interview question "Do you have a pet peeve having to do with this biz?")
People who write below their abilities in order to crank out tons of books and make a buck. Especially Christian authors who do that. Outsiders judge us for it, and make fun of us for it, and it makes Jesus look bad. We of all artists on earth should be the most concerned with doing our best possible work at all times. We of all people should write with all our hearts, as if writing for the Lord and not for men.

Yeah, that's what I do too. Apparel magazines make excellent art references.

Just like what most have said, 'copy' things around you. You'll never get better reference than that or even how manga artists do their feet/shoes, here's one of them! :thumb: Good luck!
