Most Polite Anime Character

Postby smooth_operator » Tue Jun 28, 2005 6:10 pm

In your opinion, who is the most polite or good-natured anime character in existence? For me, I'd say Shinobu from Love Hina or Chiyo-chan from Azumanga Daioh.

Kenshin Himura, period. It's rare for a guy in a shonen anime/manga to be so sweet and polite.

I mean, who can reply "Please be so kind to use my name: Kenshin Himura" after being called a red-dressed, scar-faced, law-breaking, carrot-topped girly man? XD (Unfortunately, it's a bit true...:P)

Tooru is polite too, but I mean...come on, she's a shojo character.

Legato Bluesummers. Who can you think of who would kill you, but do so in such a nice way that you actually feel sorry for him?

OK, seriously, Kenshin.

I was going to say Kenshin, but yes, Tohru is very polite too. ^^

So we're nominating one for shoojo *and* shoonen?

I'd say Tohru, period. Because she doesn't have a Battousai side. Regardless of how polite Kenshin may be, there is that killer hidden down inside.

I'd say Tohru, unless were deciding most polite alternative personalities, than Rurouni Kenshin would be in the running.

Hey, I disagree with anything anyone else says if it isn't Tohru getting the award.

Wow. There sure are a lot of Kenshin fans here (which might explain some of the 'bias' here :) ). Though I'll add in Fuu from Rayearth - She shows respect even to monsters (Mamano-san).

Well, Kenshin uses the polite word forms even with enemies de gozaru. I think that if we're speaking of polite language, we have to agree that the award cannot go to anyone else de gozaru.

Then again, if we're splitting the nomination, I'd think that Yuki in Fruits Basket certainly gives Tohru a run for her money in the politeness department (well, except for with Kyo), and Aoi from Ai Yori Aoshi gives challenge as well.
The cake used to be a lie like you, but then it took a portal to the deception core.

I would have to nominate the following:
1.Yuki Saiko from Silent Mobius, not only nice and kind but also makes a
mean cup of java! :thumb:
Ok...so Lum Cheng gets her goat but no-one else has.
2.Kagome,there isn't anyone as nice and polite as Kagome.
(Besides Yuki that is! :thumb: )
3.D,have to put in a word for everyone's favorite Biroid from Dual!
Gentle,kind and sweet.
4.Sasami
5.r.Dorothy Waynewright. :thumb:

The nicest anime person I can think of is. Abel Nightroad from Trinity Blood series

Hmm, Tomoyo (Carcaptor Sakura), Kenshin (Rurouni Kenshin), and Chiyo (Azumanga Daioh) come to mind.
