July Photography contest!!

Hello. For those who keep track, yes, tis' I, olorc, the one who started the coloring contest oh so long ago (like january of this year XD). And now I'm starting a photography contest. I think this is the right forum to post this thread in because the only other forums for photos are in the gallery section and I didn't think that was the right place. If this should be in the gallery then would someone (a mod) tell me and/or move this thread instead of deleting it.

The rules are simple. Subit a photo you have taken and hope it is the best submitted this month. I will get a mod to judge bc I'll want to enter this myself. Please try to make the pics as clear as you can (not too pixelized) but still relatively small (400 kb should be big enough I should think).
There are two categories: People, Animals, Nature, and Other.
You get to choose which category your picture/s belongs in.A picture that has people in it but the people are not the subject is up to you where to put it. Ok, lets see how this goes...
Questions? Thoughts? Comments? I'm open to anything (except biting ridicule :( )

ooo...good point. Also, I think that nature and still life should be seperated. That said, I editted my original post to have 4 categories:
People
Animals
Nature
Other (still life and anything else you can think of)

This contest will need some refining seeing as this is the first time it's being run.
I think, actually, that this should be in the general section. What say you?

Double post, I know, but I wanted this query to be seperate so as get special attention.
Do you all think people should be allowed to enter one photo in every category (total of 4 entries), or just one photo in the whole contest (total of one entry)?
Because they are essentially 4 seperate contests, I was thinking that an individual should be allowed an entry into each one if they wanted.

Also, the deadline is June 22, so start snappin'.

Do you think there should be a theme instead of 4 seperate categories?

I'll PM volt sometime this week, I know he's got some good photos to enter. Also, PM anyone else you know about this. I think this contest has potential to take off if enough people hear about it.

I may enter this contest sometime in the future. I like to take photos, although it's usually for manipulating them in PS. But right now, I'm too busy to be a photographer. Work, eat, sleep...I'll barely have time for the coloring contest this month! :drool:
