Recently finished:
Gankutsuou :thumb: The book was MUCH better,
at only $6.95 for 1050 pages.
School Rumble  <-HILARIOUS!
Samurai 7 :thumb:
Negotiator Yugo :thumb: <- No obnoxious chibi mascots! Yay!
Pia Carrot 2: So-so (I heard that Pia Carrot 1 is hentai,
and I have avoided it.)
Petite Cossette : Weird, but good music.
Mai Hime : Fun at first, then it got serious but was still pretty good.
Some objectionable scenes.
Sensei no Ojikan : Very sweet, except for two gay characters (one girl, one boy) who hit on straight charaters; the boy cross-dresses in a seifku at times.
Air TV series - Deathly boring.
Starship Operators: Can't wait to buy the DVD's! Great costume designs (men and women) and again, NO sqeaky chibis! Yay! Characters are college-age students and up, instead of mostly high-schoolers, which is another bit of novelty.

Bailed out on:
'Beck' (too much foul language, generally ugly-spirited characters)
'Air Master' (gland-grabbing)
FMA - Too much strong atheism in the first few eps.

Currently watching:
Basilisk
Bleach :thumb:
Shura no Toki :thumb:
Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig :thumb:
Harukanaru toki no naka de Hachiyoushou
Wind - A breath of Heart
Marchen Awakens Romance

Next up in queue (I may delete these if they are objectionable)
Emma - Victorian Romance
Tsukuyomi Moon Phase
Trinity Blood
Piano (Thanks for all your recommendations here.)

Eager to see:
Karas
FMP 2nd Raid
ANYTHING as clean and FUNNY as Azumanga Daioh.... Suggestions wanted ...

Avoiding:
Miyazaki stuff - just not my thing. But 20 years ago I enjoyed 'Nausicaa.'

Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. What? You mean the person who got you interested in Fruits Basket?

I'm watching a few episodes of "The Big O" and recording the second half of Beyblade from TV until I'm in the mood.

Meaning you're addicted to it and you're blaming the person who got you into it, or you hate it and you blame whoever made you watch it?

And that person's Ingemar, right?

What? I haven't heard any complaints coming from over there, so shush it and admit you're hopelessly addicted like the rest of us. I accept payments in the form of chocolate or nuclear substance to revive my mutant chicken army ^_~

I'm catching up on Bleach and Naruto. ALMOST done with Full Moon wo Sagashite :D

Actually, Pico-pico would have made the 'hit list' for the above project. If only there were a few more charges in the '1812.' We could have squeezed in the Haru thing from Gundam. javascript:smilie('')

I wish Air/TV had spent more time in the 1,000-yrs-ago period. Kanna was one of the most energetic, spazzy characters in the series and I wanter to see her do more. Maybe dial up the spazz/zavy level to around 'Asagiri no Miko,' which was sweet in some sections, and funny in other places. (or so I thought.)

I don'r know whether Air/TV is comint ot the US in dub (hurl!) or not, but if it does I kinda bet the dubber won't pick up on the mom/auntie character (Haruko) and her brother (?) (the real dad of Misuzu?) - that when they argued, they slipped in and out of Kansai dialect vs. std (Tokyo) Japanese. This was an important aspect to their passive aggressive conflict, and US-based subbers usually run roughshod over some of the subtleties of Japanese language and culture - I epxect they'd miss this too. javascript:smilie(':hits_self')

Just got back from seeing "Howls Moving Castle," in the theatre. It was an outstanding movie; both the story and animation was top notch.

If y'all get the oppertunity to go see it.... go...

Finally... I have completed the last 9 episodes of "Hajime no Ippo," episodes 68-76. I can not put my true feelings and thoughts about this series into words... All I can say is this is so-far the best sport anime created, period.

All I have left are the two OVA's and I can't wait to see them. Rock on!~
