Coldplay's new album. Listened to it yet?

It is quite different to 'Parachutes', but you can kinda see the transition from one to the other through 'Rush of Blood to the Head'.
I prefer the Parachutes sound myself.

Sound of Speed is the closed sounding song to the other albums, the rest are different, like violins in the background, and humming notes hanging in the background similar to a more electrionic band then a 'rock' based band.
But the best thing about it so far, is that in one of the songs they sing in harmony, it's the first time I've heared that, and I LIKE IT.

What do you reckon?

Politik's from a Rush of Blood to the Head there.;) I've always liked Coldplay so I'll probably be picking this up.

Speed of Sound is the only one I've heard, and it's OK. Not their best, but OK. Looking forward to it.

I love Coldplay so when I got it I was a tad bit suprised...
This isnt the coldplay you (should be ) used too, more violins and humming.

Speed of Sound and What if are my favortie songs on the cd though.

Oh man Drag and Pliskion...never thought you guys were Coldplay fans...hehe maybe I should be now called "CAA's #1. Coldplay Fan"...then again I dont think it would fit so anyway Yes I did infact bought it ON opening day. And you guys are right, it does seem diff. But "White Shadows" got that upbeat feeling again (maybe a little more upbeat then usual) but whatever. I have to say it isnt exactly as good as "Rush of Blood" but I wasnt really disapointed, I still like every song on this CD, maybe not be a upgrade for them but I would understand there some pressures and such. Glad I dont get high expecations....well....made that mistake when Call of Duty: Finest Hour came around :(...but anywho I enjoyed this CD and I'v lost count how many times I've listioned to it. Heck I'm listioning to it right now.
 You gotta love it ^.^

Dragon is a bit of a fan of pretty much any kind of music. I can't pick just one xD At any rate...I'm going to buy this cd this week. I like the nice, soft hummy violin stuff....good relaxing music.

Hehe same here, I have to say Hip HOp got me into music in the first place. And yes I have all of Coldplay's CDs including there Live '03 CD and DVD (Acutally came in both of them for I think 13 or 19 dollars). Which makes me probably the #1. Fan here. ^_^

It is taking quite a while for this new one to grow on me. Parachutes and A Rush of Blood to the Head already hooked me with like 3 or 4 songs by this time already.

I'm still waiting for this album's version of The Scientist.
