Prayer in regards to stress and academics

Postby Debitt » Mon May 23, 2005 11:49 pm

I just finished my Japanese class last Monday, and here I am sitting around and thinking that I'm 100% okay for the next couple weeks.

Eh heh heh...wrong. My next class starts TOMORROW (I haven't even registered for it yet) and is now going to run an hour longer than my previous class.

I'm looking at the calendar for my classes right now and this is going to be going on almost non-stop...until December, and right now I'm REALLY not in the mood to put up with any more academic classes. I'm sick of school and I'm stressed out and I'm really not in the mood to cope right now, but I NEED to take these classes if I want to even have an off chance of getting into a decent college.

:?: I could seriously use some prayer right now, if no one minds. T_T

Aah, the joys of summer classes in college. I know the feeling, KD! I'll pray that things work out for you and that God will help you through the stress while lifting you up in encouragement. :thumb:

*stabs academics*

I know how that feels, Koko-chan. I'll be thinking and praying for you!! *Hugs Koko-chan*
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Ugh, school is so stressful, and what you're going through sounds a million times worse than the pain I've experienced from my own school work. . . . I'll pray God will give you some miraculous way to cope with it all and do well also! ;)

Has the stress gone down any, Koko? *hug* I'm praying for you. ^_____^

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

The stress...is still here. x_x I guess not is such large quantaties, which is good...

I'm running late on all the deadlines I have for my Creative Writers Club's literary magazine (which looks REALLY bad because I'm vice president) due to computer problems, I'm still stressed out about my grades (T_T; I always am. It doesn't help when my parents chew me out for letting my B+ in math go down to a B)

Luckily my Japanese class doesn't seem to be too too bad. I found out that apparently the other classes had learned some stuff in Japanese 1 that my class hadn't, so I have to go back and relearn a bunch of concepts, but Ishi-sensei's really easy going so it doesn't feel like a huge burden quite yet.

*hugs for everyone* T_T; thanks for your prayers. I'm sorry if I sound like I'm whining, but I guess I REALLY need summer vacation soon.
