Oneirogmophobia...

Postby Slater » Tue May 24, 2005 1:09 am

I'm sorta Oneirogmophobic (look it up on Google and NO, it's not a fear of messes or anything... >_>)... and lately my dreams have been... well, let's just say they aren't helping me. I know that these dreams aren't sinful or anything, but I'm unable to get a good night's rest with these dreams... and my senioritis is increasing and my levels of energy are decreasing cause of lack of sleep. That combined with the pressure that if I don't get a job within the next 3 weeks that my parents are gonna kick me out of the house to find a living on my own make up a crapload of stress for me... so I guess that all I'm asking prayer for at this time are some dreams that are less... sexually oriented, I guess...

strewth matie, seems like you have a truckload of probs at the mo! I'll be praying

so I guess that all I'm asking prayer for at this time are some dreams that are less... sexually oriented, I guess...

There was a period just after we moved into the new house when I was having rather... disturbing dreams. I was very troubled by them, but one day I had a sudden thought that maybe things had gone on in my bedroom, before dad had bought the house. So, I went through the room and prayed against anything of that sort, and the dreams instantly went away. Perhaps it might be a good idea to do the same through your room.

I'm sorry to hear that. I really don't know what to say about those dreams, except that I'll be praying that you not dwell on them. I'm female, and 21, but I still get some of them myself. And I'm not like forcing those images to enter my mind. My guess is that it's something subconscious, and I'm not going to rub it off and say it's "normal" or anything. Again, I'll be praying. Feel free to drop me a line :).

I'm sure these kind of dreams can occur from the result of many things. And you're not the only one who has these kind of dreams. But perhaps its cause by a desire we have... not sure....

The only advice I can give about the job is to just get out there and put in a ton of applications. Any job is better then none, and I can somewhat understand your parents putting an emphases on getting a job so that you can learn to start supporting yourself a bit. Being you are about to graduate and be in the thrown into the real world.

I'll pray that everything goes well for you. Just hang in there and be strong. You'll be okay.
