An Elderly Couple That Need Prayer

Postby Stephen » Mon May 16, 2005 9:26 pm

I am not gonna go into this real deep. But a homeless couple have started living in there truck outside the store I work at. They look to be in there 70s...and are living out of an old ford truck with there 2 dogs. Nobody seems to give a darn around the town or store...so tomorrow I am going over with some money, a track, and a business card of a really awesome local church I used to teach Sunday school at. I just want everyone to pray that if these folks are not saved...somthing I say or do could change that. And that the Lord would use other people to help. It really makes you feel like crap when you are depressed about minor things...then you see an old couple that could have been your grandparents...sitting alone in a beat up old truck. Prayer would be vastly appreciated.

Absolutely. From the moment I heard about this, my heart broke for them. I will definately keep praying for them and that God would use you mightily to bring them hope, comfort, love, and salvation. Thank you for being bold and sensitive to them, it's a great example to set.

You have my prayers Shatterheart.

I hope things go well, and that God uses you to complete His will. I will also pray that if they were saved at one point, you can re-kindle that flame of hope and salvation in their hearts so they can come back to the Lord's open arms.

God Bless Bro,

I'll pray for them. And good luck in witnessing to them; I pray that God's will be done.

Well the Store has been taking collections of sorts and each day they take out what is left. I guess its been good so far. Turns out I guess they have to get there truck inspected or somthing...kinda weird. Should be getting into a place soon I hope. I bought em some gallons of water the other night...snuck out on the clock (which really I am not suposed to) and gave em a note I wrote...basicly telling them that Jesus loves them, and so do I. Got em some dog food for there dogs too. (heh and before anyone thinks I ripped the store off, it was all bought stuff) I hope the cash I gave em is enough to get things sorted out with there remaining bills.
