How did you find out about CAA?

Postby JediSonic » Thu Oct 23, 2003 3:20 pm

Lots of sites do this kind of thing, and now I'm doing it because:

1) I'm curious
-and-
2) The notion that it might help Ashley & the Staff improve site traffic : )

(NOTE: I made votes public so staff can see where people are from, if they feel it's relevant..)

(moved to general, since I was under the impression that's where you meant for it to be)
As a personal favor, if you vote "other" or "link from other site" can you post the URL and/or other method?

Which site? I'll go with the clix.to site and change to the present. I chose Google because I really don't have a clue which search engine I used. There were many that I was using at the time for something unrelated to that site, but relevant to the topic I was looking up. It depends on which of them Ashley wanted CAA to be indexed in. Now I found present day CAA through the clix.to website, a few months later, where she had stated about the new site.

In regards to our multiple...previous addresses...whichever branch of CAA you found first counts. I.e. Geocities (not many of you vets out there anymore), MSN, Clix.to (my personal server + redirect) or the .net ("it's dot com").

I can't remember if the wolf or shooby told me about this. Or if I told one of them. I'm all confused. Why do you make me think?!?!

Anime Angels, of course. Ashley came to the message boards there and mentioned this place and something about "a teammate named McCloud". ^_~

I found CAA through anipike I was just looking at what was out there in the way of online clubs and forums and stumbled onto it accidently. Until I found this place I thought I was the only Christian adult who liked anime..I'm glad I was wrong. I'm also glad God allowed me to stumble onto the site ;)

I go on fighting against that invisible something!"

I heard about CAA from Millyfan at Christian Forums. I don't go to Christian Forums any more - a lot of trolls. :eyeroll: I really like it here. Ashley has truly been blessed with something special. :)

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

I used google to look for a forum to discuss Lain with... since I just watched it for the first time, and funnily enough I had to explain what it was about to the person who owned the DVD set. Anyways, it turns out someones already written down my interpretation but heys, its not every day you run into a Christian forum thats also interested in anime, so here I am to stay. I think.

Anyways, I used to be a forum regular in another forum, but I kinda drifted away from that cause it wasn't really a "wholesome" forum if you know what I mean. So hope to see you guys around in the forums and I hope I make a good contribution.

I found CAA a long time ago through another site called Hugglebunny.com. I dunno if she still links to us, but anyway, that's where I found it ^_^ I think that was in what, 2001? ^^; Don't remember. Maybe it was 2002...well, I think it was right before the MSN community opened up :]

One day I was surfing the net, researching how to make a forum, because I was sick of not being able to find decent forum to join. Well, when I came across vBulletin's site. I explored around they're forums and found a link to CAA posted by Djnoz. So, I joined and scrapped the idea of making a forum.

I remember the hugglebunny site. I just found the link to it in my bookmarks. It is/was called the Christian Anime League. I was thinking about joining it once. When I wen't to the join page I got her story of why no new members.

A while back (feels like a long time ago!), I did a search for "Christian manga" in Google, of course, and found the old clix.to site. I emailed Ashley about joining that part of CAA (there were two different user lists in those days, as I recall - the one at the CAA site, and then the MSN group), and later that day, went over to MSN groups and signed up there, too...^^

People who write below their abilities in order to crank out tons of books and make a buck. Especially Christian authors who do that. Outsiders judge us for it, and make fun of us for it, and it makes Jesus look bad. We of all artists on earth should be the most concerned with doing our best possible work at all times. We of all people should write with all our hearts, as if writing for the Lord and not for men.
