Often how a person percieves themself and what relationships they have with those around them, as well as personality play an important role in how the person dresses/grooms themselves in every day life. The same basic ideas govern how I create my characters appearance.

Maybe you should have her character go through a physical as well as emotional change. (I'm sorry if you were already planning on that.) For example, at the beginning, she dresses dark like a lot of angsty teens. Maybe wears long sleeves and pants to cover up (if any) physical harm she does to herself. I would guess someone like her would try to dress rebelliously to set themselves apart or alienate away from everyone else. When she changes, you could make her more subdued, maybe try some different colors and less extreme clothing. Just a subtle but pleasant change so that you can see she is a happier person without totally changing her personality.Ashley wrote:CHARACTER B is a male, approximately early twenties, who is both somber and tender. He can come off as distant, but at the same time he is very filled with compassion for those he cares about. He works as an intern at a music agency. So he must be well dressed but have a casual side too. He's quiet, somber, but as I said, gentle. He's also one of those people who get nervous at "sponatenous activity"
