Off to Italy!

Postby shooraijin » Tue Oct 21, 2003 8:53 am

Well, I'm getting packed to go to Italy (flight leaves tomorrow). We'll (my parents and I) be going to Rome and Venice for 10 days, and we'll be taking lots of photographs! :)

See you all on the flip side!

lucky bugger. Enjoy your trip! :)
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

I've been to Rome. You should enjoy it a lot. Just watch your wallet on Rome's subways >_> they aren't the safest place in the city that's for sure.

Have a safe and wonderful trip. You will love Venice. I went there when we lived in Slovenia. It's a beautiful city.

Okay, I'm back from Italy. You can all start breathing again ;)

I'm amazingly jetlagged, dreamed the whole night I was still in the hotel in Venice, have seven Compact Flash cards of pictures to download, have to go back to work *today*, have to clean the refrigerator (no explanation further should be needed), clean off all the ashfall from the wildfires, and recover from garlic overdose. It probably *is* a good thing I don't have a roommate on these type of days ... :)

Still, it was a good trip, but happy to be back!
