Hitokiri's Music

Postby Hitokiri » Tue Mar 22, 2005 1:07 pm

I have posted a few of my songs on here but they rarely get attention. So intead of posting multiple threads, I will post all the songs I write on here and update it whenever I write new ones.

A Letter to Myself Inked in Haste

Writing on the walls
Writing on the walls
reminds me of death
Writing on the wall
No where to turn In this hopelessness you are my strength
In this chaos you are my hope.
So singing softly on frosted cheeks
Don't let them know that slowly inside I am dying.
Wating for the dawn of the light to wake me up from this nightmare.
Waiting for the second coming to take me up.

Shadowed Foot falls from the Story Above

So watch the grace of your steps
the turnings of a heart
No longer heal...a dreaded past.
So turn your head and watch as
you sink deeper into your lies.
As all you hear is your muffled cries..

Painting a picture of a girl in the window
Watching her foot falls, watching her footfalls
Counting, them, every single time.
Until another inherits her burden.
And the snow falls gently and stings the eyes.
For the innocent can't see past the lies.

So sing yourself quietely to sleep.
Don't bother me, don't bother me.
I see the picture rise from the ashes.
Begging my torment, begging my shadow
Wanting to fill my footfalls with
screams of the dying children.

I was always known for ill advice.
A swift tougne doesn't always mean
a truth behind the smile.
So scream yourself to sleep again.
Hoping and hoping this world seems different
when you wake up.
Are you awake and this world is a nightmare?
Or are your dreams the real thing?
So count your footfalls...count your footfalls

"A Bird Once told Me that People are Never What they Appear to be"

Hideway into the brink, suffering, loss of words
Silently you sing to me, dreams of destiny unseen
So many faces, so many faces
Cloud my mind far behind
This feeling of angst and the drop of blood
Cry out, Realize, and Turn away
Reflect the words you were spoken
A conversation in color in a black and white world.
Use your eyes instead of turning a blind eye
from your hatred that spew from your tougne
Silent words will make demands
Naked truths bear false witness
Find them out and hunt them down
Smoke them out and forgive them

"Sweet Golden Kisses Brought by My Blood"

Butterflies
Butterflies
Bright, blood red butterflies
A shallow grave
A hollow grave
Singling out the bright, red butterflies
Blessing those tombstones
With the flutter of the wings
Which brings the sound of war
Upon the doorsteps of the unwilling.
Covering the corspes
With thier wings
Bright, red buuterflies
Bright, red butterflies
Bring further hardship to those who hate.

Do you have tunes for them in your head, or are you using the more archaic meaning of the word song? Please post more of your songs! They are thought provoking and VERY VERY good!!!

I will come up with a general theme on the spot and as I write it out, I form the vocal composition and then (which is fun to hear if you're around me when this happens) when I compose the instrumentsl elemntns (guitars, bass, drums, etc). Or when I add female vocals lol.

Daybreak

Another day of endless dreaming
Another day of sleeping off the pain.
Collecting every penny I can hind to call my own.
Watching the passerbys leave for the night.

It's the end of the show, it's the end of the show
The puppeteer has hung up his strings
It's the end of the show, it's the end of the show
And the actors have all gone home.

One last kiss upon a frosted moonlite night
No last words to say no last words to say
Our hands now longer holding out for the turth.
Watching you leave in the pale moonlight.

Now don't tell me to leave my life
nor frosake it.
Just cause the curtain has closed
It will rise again.

A Suicide Note Wrote in Retrospect
We never forgot your face
Do you remember me
When we fell off from the knive?
We always knew you'd return
Seperated from the love we had
In days gone past and a fruitless grave.

Don't say "but do or die"
Cause we are home
Are you sure
Sucide's the way out?
Don't say "but do or die"
This is not your last chance
Are you sure
No one loves you?

We stepped further into the night
Capturing our heart of hearts
In clear glass jars and bottling them inside.
We knelt before the throne of love
Singing songs of light and grace
But our voices feld dead on deaf ears.

Innocent ones...come bless me with
the love of your wings...the love of your wings
Innocent ones...come smile on me
feel the warmth of your embrace

That's all I want, that's all I need
So step away fromt he edge, child.
Just stay here and take refuge
In the embrace
--------

Which reminds me, those who dont mind taking off time to do this. Can you guys tell me what you got from the songs. Your impressions or how it spoke to you?

Parts of this remind me of myself. It is hopeful and despairing at the same time. To me this poem seems like someone who is going through a hard time, but is still trusting in God.

This poem seems to be written by someone who is very aware of all of the evil in the world. It also reminds me of some creepy poems that I have attempted to write. It feels like it has a lot of symbolism in it. I like it.

(I'll post more when I have time!)

thanks for the comments ^_^

A new one is up. I'm feeling inspired or motivated I guess to write Chrisitan goth metal lyrics. I'v'e been listening to lots of goth metal as of late(check out Tristania's new album "Ashes" Equilibrium is a awesome song. Though they aren't Christian -_-;;;; )

Burning, Burning It can be Seen by All

Deceiving, rebelling
Making me feel all cold inside
Breaking my bonds, spilling my blood
Crying, oath breaking
Betrayal is only the start
Open the doors to the heart of
the One who saved me

Prepare the chariots
Prepare the chariots
Tell me I am safe within
Tell me I am safe within

Fearful the cross
Laying with those who fell that day
Under the twilight failing
Bring me near to your star
And wrap me gently
Blood by right
Daunted by the eyes of evil
Onward forever

Crying in agony
Crying in agony
Gentle tears on my cheek
Gentle tears on my cheek

On my knees
On my knees
Begging for mercy
Begging for mercy

The burning of the reek
Unbearable the cross
To meet thy Maker
I sing to you beneath the shadow of your wings
I sing to you a sacrafice of doubt and shame.
Lamentations of the soul
Of all the children whom died at the hands
of the cursed.

Here are my slightly scattered thoughts:

This one seems to have some slightly cynical over/under tones.

"Use your eyes instead of turning a blind eye" This part feels a little bit redundant, just for word chioce.

This poem has some interesting ideas in it, and probably many interpretations.

I like your use of the word angst.

Overall, it seems to be a poem that almost anyone could relate to, and that is awesome! Good job!

The butterflies, to me, are definately blood. It brings a disturbing image (that's not a bad thing). I like it very much.

I would like to hear what you meant in this poem.

Did you really mean to say, "Our hands now longer holding out for the turth."?

I find your use of the word 'hind' interesting. Would you like to elaborate on it?

Your last stanza is mysterious, open for interpretation. Interpretation #1: The curtain will rise because it has closed.
#2: Downtime, but there is hope that things will get better.
#3: Bad things. There is a false life being lived, and the liver isn't willing to give it up yet, they are waiting for more glory.
#4: Don't tell me what to do. I can figure things out for myself.
#5: The curtain rising is the morning.
There are probably more interpretations out there, but that is what comes to mind at the moment.

It's interesting that the poem is set in the night, but is titled 'Daybreak.' It shows a looking ahead.

A Prayer of Sorts

If I may, can I speak to you?
So many words to say in short period of time.
Here I am on my knees.
Breathing in the dust.
Here I am giving my all.
Please don't turn a blind eye.

Will you be here when I fall away?
If I mask this torment, will you inside me?
I'm transparent, I'm wretched.
This leech is sucking away my life.

If I may, can I hold your hand?
To feel the warmth from your palm I felt once before.
Here I am lying on the ground
Covered in my shame.
Here I am lifting my hands.
Just to feel a brush of your hand.

Will you be here when I fall away?
If I mask this torment, will you inside me?
I'm transparent, I'm wretched.
This leech is sucking away my life.

I lie dead, broken but not defeated.
Your warmth is all I need.
This frost of winter has melted away.
Your springtime, is all I need.
Is all I need
Is all I need

I really appreciate the feedback. it really helps inmy writing, it truly does.

Alright! I'm starting on page 2!

In the embrace
Do you know what this brings to mind?

Leaning, leaning,
safe and secure from all alarms.
Leaning, leaning,
leaning on the everlasting arms
!

Anyway:
"We never forgot your face
Do you remember me
When we fell off from the knive?
We always knew you'd return
Seperated from the love we had
In days gone past and a fruitless grave."
This part sounds schizophrenic to me.

"We stepped further into the night
Capturing our heart of hearts
In clear glass jars and bottling them inside.
We knelt before the throne of love
Singing songs of light and grace
But our voices feld dead on deaf ears."
The first part of this makes me think of bottling feelings and thoughts up inside. Then you go to God and pour them out to Him, but either (1) no one else cares (2) you don't care what other people think or (3) it doesn't feel like God was listening.

"Innocent ones...come bless me with
the love of your wings...the love of your wings
Innocent ones...come smile on me
feel the warmth of your embrace" Angels!

I especially like the title of this poem. Its just... well, good. In light of it, the poem can be read in many different ways with many different meanings.

These are good lyrics...interesting, and easy to set to music. =) I can think of a melody for these already! The only thing I can think of is that it would be nice if you'd label them by verse, chorus, bridge, etc...

Ok. Usually I try to relate the chorus some how to the song name.

Well, this may sound weird, but I don't have any comments on this one. Every once in a while, when I read a poem, it just kind of stands on its own and when I get to the end it's like... ... ... "Well... it was a great poem... umm... yeah." It really is a very good song though! Think of it as a good thing. I must be speechless... er, thoughtless? Wait, no...

ANYWAY, good stuff.

To me, this is definately addressed to God. I could really identify with this song.

1st verse:
Mornings (when I do my devotions) are always so crowded. If I had my way, I could just spend all morning reading the Bible, etc., but I have to go to school. I remember low points, where I'm laying on the ground with dust choking me, offering myself to God, begging for some assurance that he accepts my humble gift.

Chorus:
Yup. I know how that feels.

2nd verse:
Your use of the word 'hands' is a little redundant. Perhaps you could say, 'arms' the first time.
Regardless, I liked this stanza also. I've experienced just laying on the ground, begging for God to touch me. To give me the privilage of knowing him, or anything, really.

3rd verse:
Yes, dead but not defeated. God is all I need. Period.

Great stuff! I really identified with this song! Awesome job!

P.S. I can't figure out why more people don't read this stuff. These songs are really good!

 Ok, so not really, but that is my way of saying:

Post more!

Post more!

Thanks, that really feels good. And yes I have a new song ^_^

The Children of the Demon

We watched our children run into the sunset.
A burning sunset.
We watched as our innocent are betrayed.
A burning betrayal.

Oblivion is what they call me
A forsaken soul admist this hurricane.
Running fowards, our eyes wides open
As we run into the burning sunset.

CHORUS
The village is burning through the night.
Helpess, the doll is on fire.
Watch the children dance on the ashes
As demons who are celebrating.

Our tougnes crave for a drop of water
But our thoughts are elsewhere.
I can feel this burning on my head
Like a burning sunset.

CHORUS

Innocent...beautiful...life
Is just a memory
The green grass and the fragrance of solitude
Back in the days of my youth.
We forsook the hand of the Father with contempt
We thought our lives were forever.
Until we all ran into the burning sunset.

This self-made hell burns away my wings.
In steals away my breathe.
I wish for some comfrot from this pain.
All I know...is that I dug my own grave.

CHORUS

This is dark. You aren't planning on committing suicide are you?

:lol:But seriously, good work. It seems to have biblical allusions. "We forsook the hand of the Father with contempt" This reminds me of Abraham/Israelites.

"The village is burning through the night.
Helpess, the doll is on fire.
Watch the children dance on the ashes
As demons who are celebrating."

This chorus is very good, but it could be made a wee bit more effective if it somehow rhymed. For example:

"The village is burning through the night.
Helpess, the doll is on fire.
Watch the children dance on the ashes
As demons who are celebrating the mire."

Or something like that. That's all I could think of off the top of my head. When it rhymes (at least this is how it works in my head) the meaning can sink in and not be distracted by thinking, "Wait a minute, does that rhyme with something here?" Plus, in general, people like rhymes.

I would like to hear your interpretation/intended meaning/inspiration for this poem.

No I am not suicidal however after some developements concerning one of my classes and doing something stupid which will proably end of me failign that class, it might not be such a bad option ... kidding

When I begin writing, I really don't have a set motive. I write what sounds good at first and then I start to change it to a specific meaning that I honestly don't know what it is

This song however...I was basically trying to portray sin, hell, and demons. And on that subject, I was also trying to say how we are all meant for God's glory but the sin and Satan pulls us down.

Children being epitome of innocence are bieng corrupted to sin by dancing on the ashes. I pictured the ashes being the ashes of those who have died. it's kinda gruesomem and rather dark.

if you havn't guessed, most of my music would fit perfectly (and is written for) Christian death/heavy/goth metal.

The line "All I know...is that I dug my own grave." is saying that by not accepting Christ, I am literally digging my own grave to hell (not exactly saying it aplies to me because I have accepted Christ just to note).

Have you ever written out the music for any of these? It would be cool if you did, because then maybe you could show us and I could pick it out on flute or piano or something so that I know what tune to read it with.

I wish I could write music. I can't though. Just lyrics. I have the tune in my head though.

When I write these, I usually sing as well. My sister ends up yelling at me to stop "screaming and growling"

Do you play an instrument that you know notes? There are some nice music-writing things you can get in the internet that make things easier.

Know, I don't play any instruments. I wantd to but I never got the hang out it. I do sing though.

New song

Confessions

Breaking to the edge of being
Regardless of the pain inside
Now I just know that I am breathing
This noxious fumes of shame and regret

Paint a new world of living color.
To wash away this world grayscale world.
Am I just a pawn in a deadly game?
Living day to day in a world devoid of love.
Where hate and greed is the law?

CHORUS
Watch this deadly glare.
Is there anybody out there?
Hear the muffled screams.
This world is not what it seems.

Caught in a deadly dance
on top of the edge of a knife
Now the walls are closing in around me
This sea of emptiness fills the void.

I begin to slip into a world of sleep.
Come wake me up before I fall away.
The webs of deciets cling around me.
As the vapors vomit from the ground to take my life.
This is this the end of my toils?

CHORUS x 2

Questions of a lifetime, do you really care?
Are you really out there?
Wondering without a reason.
Just a victim of this duet of death.

CHORUS
