anybody heard of her

Has anybody heard of Nicole C. Mullen? I'm not really sure, but I think she's kind of new. I think she only has two cds out, I'm trying to get the second one. I'm not a 'oh, wow, i just have to get this cd' person, but I like her music. I just wanted to know if anybody else heard of her.

Nope, never. But then, I have rather odd tastes in music.

I feel like I have heard of her, but only her name; I just can't remember where. I haven't heard any of her work, either. What kind of music does she do?

I like most of her stuff. Some of the lyrics to her most well-known songs are:

"When I call on Jesus, all things are possible.
I can mount on wings like eagles and soar.
When I call on Jesus, mountains are gonna fall.
Cause He'll move Heaven and earth to
Come rescue me when I call .."

or

"I know my Redeemer lives
I know my Redeemer lives
Let all creation testify
Let this life within me cry
I know my Redeemer lives."

Not sure about exact lyrcis there, but you get the idea.
Uh-oh! Your sig have started to move! -- MOES.

I think quite a few people have redone "My redemer lives." I can't remember who the original artist is, though. I'll look it up when I get home (wonderful thing hymnals).

Nicole C. Mullins is married to one of the Winans, I think. She did "My Redeemer Lives" and it stayed on top of the charts when it came out. I think it was the number one song for that year - not sure of the year. She does a lot of non-solo stuff with other artists and writes a lot of Christian songs you may have heard. Again, I can't remember, but look around and you'll find her. She's got her hand in a lot of Christian projects.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Yeah, I saw her in concert once. She's an awesome singer. Did you know she did the Larry-Boy theme song? Weird bit of trivia there...

It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass.
