Hi i'm Gala(a.k.a elizabeth yates) I don't draw manga or anime I really like looking at others and watching the shows. My brother introduced me to this forum (elowen) . I became a christian six years ago and am always seeking more truth. Iam interested in actin in fact I am just getting into it professoinaly. :P I am now a freshman in highschool. I really just realized about two years ago I needed to get serious in my relatoinship with God. the closest I get to art is in my poetry and short stories. I decided to join this forum because I (like I said before) need to get serious in my relationship to God and what better way than to talk to fellow christians that under stand peoples probems? I enjoy helping others with their problems and to pray for the ones that need praying for cause I know I am helping in a small way but never the less I am helping ( through God). I am pretty much the average girl, I enjoy hanging out with friends and reading and of course horses. since I have become more involved in my christian life i have been more able to make friends. :thumb: well now I know that God is in a big way , part of my life and I hope through this forum He willhelp me understand what needs to be understood

Hi Elizabeth, welcome!

Planet X! We've gone beyond the bounds of the US, the Earth, and to the edge of the sloar system! ;)

Seriously, though, I know through God CAA's influence can and will go even beyond that to the eternal. And I hope you can find some great Christian friendships and your faith can grow here in this community, Gala.

Hi Elizabeth! :jump: Hum, Elizabeth Yates - sounds like you're already a famous poet. Cool name. Share some of your short stories and poetry in the writing section.

Hope you enjoy this site.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Schwoo, I'm glad; otherwise, I'd have an early Halloween scare since she died in 2001. Elizabeth Yates had written some beautiful children's books before you were born, I think. I mentioned your name in that context because it reminded me of a great writer, that's all. I'll have to go back and look at what I wrote now. :)

Sorry for any misunderstanding.
