No, I mean that the anime ends right before they go to Energy Nede. The last episode is the fight against the Wise Men, Expel is on the verge of destruction (as opposed to the game), and a portal opens to Energy Nede. The anime ends right as they walk into the portal.

Which means that Chisato and Noel didn't get into the anime...so sad. I wanted to see Chisato...

What I'm saying is, they'll finish the story.

I have to stress that this series is based on the manga. The manga is based on the games. So there is a loss of information between the game and the anime.

Basically the whole story is the game "Star Ocean 2nd Story", but hits on the main points and without the private action scenes. They add a few new things, but they are only contained in the episode they come from.

"Star Ocean: Til The End of Time" is a totally different story so it has nothing to do with the "Star Ocean EX" anime. So far, this other game has only a manga out on it.

I didn't like both games for various reasons but I surely liked Ashton. He was unique. That was probably the only reason why I got the "Star Ocean 2nd Story" manga and anime. B)

These new DVDs in English cost way too much. 4 episodes for $30... What would be... Almost and over $130 for the whole series. The series isn't worth that much.

And I really wanted to hear how the dubbed voices would turn out... B/

Star Ocean Ex does have to do with Till the End Of Time. There is amnga out that covers TteoT called Star Ocean EX: Till The End of Time. Correct me if I`m wrong.

Ashley, buy the SO games, they rock. It`s like FF with an action battle system.
