Sasuke just pulled a "Super Saiyan" on us.

I was hoping very much that you didn't mean that literally.

I head that episode 101 was filler, but I really don't care about it enough to watch. What type of filler?

Meanwhile, Issue 231 frustrates me. Despite all these power ascensions, no one had pulled the "I'm not even hurt" trick. Now that's happened, and I'm very disappointed. At least Naruto's most recent form had a gimick, instead of just being more powerful.

On the other hand, I would find it very amusing if the fox just went all out on Sasuke and wiped the water with his face. Or if Kakashi did the same. It does indeed appear that he will be interfering, though "a little bit more" can be a terribly long time.

Calling it a Super Saiyan is surprisingly fitting. I'm adding that jargon to my repitour. He's got the hair, too...

Well, by all logic, there can't be anymore "level ups." Not in this fight at least. Naruto has done it, and now Sasuke has done it.

i love narutos new abilities, but sasukes just seem that they didnt have as much thought put into them

LOL. Isn't that what the crow was saying? I haven't got a chance to see this episode, but it seems funny... better than the stupid DBZ manga chapter...

Yeah, the crow was going "fool fool" the whole episode. And it's quite wacky, basically an extended version of the special chapter in Naruto of trying to see Kakashi's true face. I particularly enjoyed seeing the many faces of Sasuke being goofy; way too many scowls lately. Episode 102 of the anime appears to be filler as well. And risking a totally off-topic direction, which "stupid DBZ manga chapter" are you talking about?

And that sickening feeling of having someone come between them and die, or get gravely injured, is returning... Man, I hope Kishimoto doesn't make Kakashi do something stupid...

I was talking about the most recent chapter, 231. It was just dull for some reason.

Also, I hope that Kakashi doesn't die. If he dies and Naruto and Sasuke keep fighting, I might give the manga a break.

I very strongly doubt Kakashi will die. If he dies now than Kishimoto will have wasted a fair amount of time developing buy not quite explaining his backstory. Besides, at this point he hasn't shown any tendencies to kill off major characters (villains excluded).

But likewise, I really hope he doesn't do something stupid.

Kakashi better not die!!!! He's the best character in that manga besides Naruto!!!!.....Well, I haven't read as far as you guys...but that's what I think. haha ^^u

Well, suppose Kakashi makes it in time. What can he really do? We have super-Sasuke-Sharingan-curse-seal-x2!! vs. super-Naruto-chakra-demon-fox!!.

I tend to agree with UC. Outside of the third Hokage, no major character has actually died...although we still don't know the fates of Neji and Chouji. I'm pretty certain Neji is still alive, at least.

...and we hardly know anything about Kakashi's past.

Anyway, I'm going to be very glad if this fight ends within the next two chapters. It's dragging on for far too long.

And apparently, Inane mis-translated a bit, the artist's translation on that last page makes much more sense than the "I'm not hurt" stuff.

That was a little shocking for me. Ah yet another reason why Sasuke shouldn't join Orochimaru's group...stupid curse makes everyone look awful.

I'm dying to know what happened to the rest of them (Chouji, Neji, Shikamaru etc.etc). I wonder whether Kakashi meets them along the way...

I have not read the translation either, and Narutofan is timing out at the moment. Possibly due to massive traffic. However, I did read the Japanese before hand (which is very unusual for me).

Haven't I read this issue before? Even without real knowledge of Japanese, I think I have a pretty good idea of what they were saying. And then there were so ridiculously many pages prior to the final clash... if the manga is stalling that much, how bad will the anime be? But all in all, I am glad because this means the fight will most likely be over very soon.

I must also agree with Mave... Sasuke's transformation looks terrible.

The funny thing about this fight is that neither warrior is really fighting on their own power. Orochimaru's curse seal and the demon fox's chakra... Naruto and Sasuke's skills scarely even matter. What level will they actually be at after all of this?

Yeah, it's really just turning out into a power struggle with no need of much skill except basic taijutsu I would assume. That and their knowledge of Chidori and Rasengan now supercharged.

Hopefully this is the last clash. That... thing... on Sasuke's back needs to be gone. Ick.

The star-shaped symbol on Sasuke's forehead and the blond Vegeta hairstyle bother me more. LOL

Anyway, I hope that last clash decides something. It's nice to see Sakura in the cover page ....hope it doesn't mean anything though.

i think his hair is white, not blond,
hopefully the sakura cover doesnt mean anything at all

I think that his hair is white. But the Super Saiyan imagry comes to mind frequently. What did the wing thing do, anyway?

You know, I read this in English, and I really didn't gain anything. Everything was exactly as I had expected, except that I wasn't certain about the text by Itachi. Sigh...

Yes, in many ways. If you can see the images, you can get a very good sense of what they are saying. However, I will very much enjoy reading the next issue.

The next issue should be dramatic/climactic. I hope that the fight ends or that Kakashi shows up or something.... I think that 233 will be a turning point.
