maybe metal will be stacked in the 'classical' section of the music store and the youths will find it uncool when they see someone purchasing it.

the current trend for all trendiness has dramatically changed even in the last four years, the last century was marked by decades and each set of ten brought something new something better and or worse, but now society is more of in a "absorbtion" mode if you will, i think we've "invented" so much so quickly that its time to play catch up, sooooo in other words yes rock and metal are here to stay, in fact if we're all still around in even hundred years, we'll still probably have polka somewhere out there so the chances for rock and metal are waaaaay off the ricter scale

when im old, im going to be head banging, evan if it throws a few vertebra and my hip dislocates. Rock will spawn new incarnations of itself, always, metals just a variation of it. and it'll stick around in some form as well. Im sure things will change but the jist will remain.
