I think it's a little soon; I was expecting them to announce a new eeveelution or a Hoenn region set of games. STILL EXCITED NONETHELESS!!! Out of the starters, I think I'm leaning towards Fennekin (like most others, as it seems). SO CUTE. AND THE LEGENDARIES ARE SO EPIC LOOKING. *fangirls*

I guess this means I am going to have to buy a 3DS sooner then I thought.

Looks Awesome! Although I agree its a bit soon, I'm still excited. Too bad I don't have a 3DS; it'll likely be a looong time till I eventually play it. Oh well, I'll just learn everything about it and become an expert while I wait.

Side note: They ran out of colors, so they went to letters. Soon they'll be going into the greek alphabet. XD

With the E3 roundtable coming up i figure its time to revive this thread. Since this thread began they have added the pokemon sylveon( a new eeveelution) pancham,helioptile, fletchling, and gogoat. Plus the altered form of mewtwo. See you guys at the roundtable

Alright we now have mega evolutions. These are special evolutions that occur only in battle while a pokemon is holding a particular mega stone, mewtwo awakened has been revealed is now known as
megamewtwo, we now also have megalucario megaabsol megamawille megaampahros and megablazikin. A torchic will be distributed via wifi starting october 12 and will have the mega stone needed for blazikin. This particular mega stone will not be available any other way

You guys realize that they wouldn't be stressing mewtwo so much...unless you can get it in game, that hasn't happened since hg/ss and lg/fr before that. Its about time we get a new one. Granted i already have two. Does anyone know if we can ask for specific held items over gts this time?

According to at least one review (and various leaks I've seen) gen 1 pokemon really make quite the comeback in this game. I kind of thought it was obvious we'd be getting Mewtwo with that thought combined with the trailers and such. It makes me wonder how close Kalos is to Kanto, especially since what we know of the anime hints Ash and Serena were childhood friends...just thinking out loud. I've always been the one to want to know these things and they never seem to release that info.

I haven't heard much about online functions yet, of course given it's not released yet, people haven't had much luck trying it out. I guess that's just one of those things we'll have to wait and see!

I've been following updates on the Serebii forums...it's really hard to try and get info for the games without getting [major] spoilers towards the plot. I'm managing somehow, but with thirteen hours to go, I'm getting super antsy! Makes me wonder how long this beast is going to take to download...

EDIT: Now that the games are officially released in some timezones, it's going to be even harder to sift through info without getting story spoilers.

I haven't been following any of the release details or anything. I didn't even know about mega-evolutions until they were mentioned in this thread. I guess I'm one of the few who isn't super amped to pick up the game. I'll just get the game cart from Game Stop at some point on Saturday.

I just look for info on new pokemon and mega evolutions and try to avoid anything related to the actual story xD
