Does not belong in the competition, or is ilegible, or just definitley does not belong in the ranks of these titles?

If the latter, I know Eyeshield 21 isn't exactly one of the best, but its one I think is good IMHO.

Super Dimensionial Fortress Macross, while fantastic and I loved every single second I watched it, is from 1983. This thread is for anime that aired from 2000 to 2011.

Oh yeah, good point. Sorry bout that. Little misunderstanding on my part.

So my only vote is Eyeshield 21 then.

Haha, that was what I was doing, actually :) That tally is just the compilation of all nominations and I'm giving you guys a last chance to adjust your votes from a hopeless title to one that has hopes but might need the help, as I'm not allowing all your nominations into the preliminary round (since we already have 85 pre-classified titles!) but just a few of the most nominated. Having said that, I'll adjust your votes accordingly.

I apologize that this phase has been a bit confusing for everyone. Hopefully when the tournament proper starts (Thursday the 27th at 20:00 EST!) everything will be more straightforward.

Clannad After Story needs more votes. :<

I'll add Natsume Yuujinchou to my list. I had only eleven votes before, so can I just add it instead of replacing it?

Also, AnoHana appears twice on that tally.

Very sad that NANA and Terra e... lost. Both are spectacular anime in my opinion, though in NANA's case it's not the destination, but the journey that counts.

But worst of all:

It's time to get started! We now have 76 titles and at the end of this preliminary round only half of them will remain and be able to move forward in the tournament. For today's game give a point to up to 9 titles from the following group that you believe are the worthiest to advance to the next round. You may give 2 points to the one of them that you believe to be the best:

Voting will be open until Friday at 20:00 EST

Aargh! I want to-- and am fairly certain that I would-- vote for more of these titles, but most of said titles are things that I either only read the manga of, or am planning to watch but haven't yet. :( Thankfully, though, as it appears there's no minimum number of votes needed in this round, I guess that means that I can still vote for:

Seirei no Moribito ★★
Saved by grace.
