My Little Pony Friendship is Magic General

Agreed. I've really felt a burden lately for these people. They're obviously looking for something to brighten their lives and give them meaning, but they're finding that in ponies and not finding it in the true source. Ponies are great, don't get me wrong, but Christ is much greater!

And... WHY DID YOU MENTION THAT?! Haha. I don't want to think about it, I don't want to think about it, I don't want to think about it. But since I'm already thinking about it, do you know how long we will have to wait before season 3 starts?

Agree absolutely.

If HUB keeps with their schedule then we hopefully won't have to wait longer than November, maybe early October if they try to build up for the Christmas hype. And with all these gaps between episodes this season will be keeping up a little longer than the last. I think the first season only had two gaps in it, but I'm not sure. But it's all just speculation I guess. :P

We're at episode 18 now, if they keep this pace, maybe three more months of pony. That makes a five month gap. I'd say two months of making PMVs, one month of doing all the other pony stuff, one month to rest a bit and get some work done, and another month to get hyped enough to do a Pinkiesplusion or Sonic RainNuke or whatever pony you prefer. :P

Well that's not too bad. It might be nice to have a break, actually, so that I can actually do something with my free time besides Pony-related activities, confound them. I like the schedule you laid out for the down time :) I think I'll stick to that pretty closely, although maybe I'll take one of those PMV months and just do some writing instead.

I'm glad they're drawing out this season a little longer. I wouldn't actually mind too much if they just did episodes every other week for the rest of the season to draw it out even more.
Actually... no. I'd mind. But it's a tough call! Part of me wants ponies now, but part of me wants to make it last as long as possible.

I do hope they keep the series going for a 4th and 5th and 100th season, though. Ihopeihopeihope!

As long as StudioB makes the episodes I'll be happy for 100 seasons. But really the Brony movement has only just started to gain momentum with Season 2, we could easily go through 4 or 5 more seasons before it starts to drop a bit. I am glad to hear Hasbro keeping a close eye on us, hopefully it means good things.

On a side note: I never really thought that My Little Pony would make a good fighting game, but after seeing the stream demoing Twilight vs Applejack. I'm so totally hyped for that.:dizzy:

In all honesty some of the bronies kind of scare me guys. Maybe I've been on the wrong side of the Internet.

The production levels on that fighting game are insane, and Pinkie's move set is just awesome. Rarity's is too! It looks so fluid and fun... I can't wait to play it!

Same here. Some of them are pretty, uh, weird, but compared with fandoms of many other things, this one's quite tame! Just look at the anime fandom in general. There's a LOT of freaky anime fans out there that do scary and disgusting things. All things considered, Bronies are a pretty great lot, I'd say, aside from a few weirdos here and there. Those dumb .MOV youtube movies come to mind. They're pretty disturbing and not very funny in my book, but a lot of people seem to enjoy them *shrug* As Bio said, it's a large fandom and you get all sorts of people! But for the most part we seem to be a pretty positive fandom, especially here on CAA!

agreed.

At college, I've met both, :)

So about the new Fluttershy episode, I LOVE IT! One, because there is friendship interaction, not just one pony doing stuff. And, it offers a rather nice moral, especially for shy kids. :)

Oh, and "new fluttershy" scares me.

AND WHY WASN'T DERPY THE MAIL CARRIER???? that would have been so awesome! She wouldn't have to talk, just appear. Even driving the delivery truck.

Episode spoilers:
And suddenly the whole Ponyville is filled with jerks!:(
The only problem I have with that actually is that it felt too real, I've had days like that, when the whole town just feel so mean.

Loved Iron Will, I just thought there would be more of him, taking a hands on approach to training Fluttershy with a montage and everything.
And the way they use good old jokes is just so refreshing, it feels as if Pinky Pie was the first to ever do the yes-no-no-yes gag and Bugs Bunny and the rest of them just copied her. She's the master.

Now let's get a bit technical:
This episode just screams to me: Birth of the Stare.
It feels like a past episode, before Twilight showed up and even before Rainbow moved there.
Fluttershy is still learning to handle her animal friends. Angel can get away with a lot more than he does these days. Ponyville still sees her as the meek little pony that lives near the woods. And Rarity and Pinkie is trying to change her rather than, where now, they have embraced her for who she is.
Pinkie Pie is also rather new in town and the town ponies haven't yet wised up to her wily ways.
All in all the whole connection between the three and the towns ponies isn't as strong as it is in previous episodes.

It's not a solid scenario though. Pinkie Pie didn't work at Sugar Cube Corner until 'Applebuck Season'. But I assume she still lived there though even if she didn't work there. And Rarity was also there. So maybe Pinkie wasn't working, but just helping out with Rarity before the Cakes let her alone with their merchandise.
I think the only problem that I still have is the letter to Celestia, which can not be explained away as pre Twilight. But, I can make an excuse by saying Fluttershy wrote to Celestia about a lesson she was thinking back on. Which I think is something Fluttershy might do.
And there we go, we have an episode based in the past, where we learn a bit more about how Pinkie, Rarity and Fluttershy grew as friends. And the idea of that, to me, is just awesome.
On to other things!
I can't wait to beat you all up with friendship! Pinkie and Rarity's moves look so cool. Thanks again for the link Mechana. But I'm just all talk, I'm not that good with 2d fighters, I lean more towards Tekken. But it still won't stop me from challenging you all, FOREVER!:P

Well, I had previously watched some of the first episode, but I wasn't interested in it then, I have also seen some of a much more recent episode where they were doing a play on the origins of equestria. That is about all I have seen.

Where Pinkie Pie plays Chancellor Puddinghead and steals the show, again. “The world is round, there is no up or down.” I loved that. Rarity was also excellent: Putting on her crown upside down and crossing the stream. Did you see Scootaloo got her tongue frozen to a pole?

Yes, I do remember that. It was a funny, and quite enjoyable episode. I also remember the ending. That was possibliy my favorite part of that episode.

So I just saw the new episode and while I did miss parts of it since I kept getting interrupted I rather liked this one. Fluttershy being assertive? Oh dear. I don't really see how this seemed like a past episode though, I guess we all just have different ways of viewing it. xD
