What movies do you own?

Postby rocklobster » Wed Nov 09, 2011 4:48 pm

Like it says above. What (non-anime) movies do you own in your collection or have recorded off TV? I'll have to recheck when I get back home, but I know for sure I have the following:
Back to the Future box set
Star Wars (all 6)
Dr. Strangelove
Cool Hand Luke
Treasure Planet
Deep Blue Sea (yeah, it's a cheesy movie. But I like cheesy)
Enter the Dragon
It's a Wonderful Life
A Christmas Carol (w/Patrick Stewart)
Therese (movie about St. Therese of Liseux, one of my favorite saints)
Indiana Jones (all 4. Had to buy Crystal Skull separately)
Citizen Kane
City of Angels
Enchanted
Speed

Eww Cannibal Holocaust... that was 90 minutes I wish I could un-remember. Lol.

Anyway, my list is short. I used to own a lot but I got rid of most of them. They took up too much space and I never watched them very often anyway. So I just kept the cream of the crop IMO. I.E. the ones I could watch over and over or just really really liked a whole lot.

Moulin Rouge
Stardust
A Fist Full of Dollars
A Few Dollars More
The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
Batman (1989)
Batman Returns
Transformers (first only)
Kung Fu Hustle
The Last Unicorn
LOTR Trilogy (Extended)
Terminator 1 & 2
Indiana Jones (all 4)
Entrapment
True Lies
Romeo & Juliet (1996)
Avatar
Sunshine
James Bond (all except the last two which I haven't even seen yet)
Edward Scissorhands
Nightmare Before Christmas
Hero
Inglorious Bastards
Kill Bill 1&2
Speed Racer

And then I need to get Braveheart... that's like the only movie I really need to get that I don't own.

"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Off the top of my head - its easier to go about it systematically. Some may be left out. I'm defining this as anything below 1983, so that I can work in Fitzcarraldo. Il Mare (korean version of the Lake House)
The Ring 1 & 2 (unfortunately I still havent seen the japanese one yet.)

There's non-anime O.O? Just kidding^^ Yes, there is.
I own... Megamind... etc^^...

-I saw a Chinese guy with a cross on his restaurant desk in America. That's so cool. You can do that here. Not so much China.

I've recently been learning that I don't need to be "loud and pushy" to Evangelize; just living it out is enough witness. The problem was that I grew up around strong Evangelists (Korean Christians) and they were really into getting people involved and setting out to Evangelize, and me being a a yes-man (or yes woman) I was into trying to convert people.
I've been learning this lesson over the years, but have been trying to be pushy. Now I'm trying to ease off.

I respect your style, but I could never live up to that^^ Too hard to say no to certain anime.

>> Oh, read the "clothes and make up" part. That's where we differ. I prefer movies to those things. But, still^^ I respect your opinion on cleanliness in movies.
