Please pray for my friends and my peace!

Postby Cc4FuzzyHuggles » Mon Dec 05, 2011 10:22 am

I am in a very painful situation with my friends at the moment. I am watching them go down hurtful paths, and yet they don't care or refuse to stop. Or they don't see or even realize what their doing or the consequences. I need peace about all of this so badly.

Please pray for my all friends in general.

Pray the Lord's presence fills around them and soaks into them. Pray they learn or realize what is right and wrong, and that the Lord turns them from all which is wrong in his eyes, and gives them strength and desires to do his will instead. Pray God reveals himself to them and enters their lives and that they be saved if they aren’t yet.

Please also pray an extra prayer for a specific couple. They are in an unhealthy relationship with one another.
Pray the Lord gives me peace about them, the Lord enters their lives either apart or together, and that their hearts turn to him.

Here is kind of the background of what's going on with them for further detailed needed prayers....

Edited by me*
My best girl friend is in a bad online relationship. Their relationship isn't healthy for either one of them with all the jealousy, forcing each other to have no other relationships, and the boyfriend having a short temper, and other hints of danger.
The stress and pains they put on each other from their jealousy and lack of trust is so hurtful for me, as they are both my friends.
And it hurts me as I fear that someday soon, when they meet in real life, he will lead her away from me and her family, and she'll follow with her desires for him.
This is why I need prayers for peace, their whole relationship is worrying me so badly.

Now then, If it is in the Lord's will;
Please pray that they either separate for the best, or temporally till my girl friend grows, they learn, and heal.
If they stay together, please pray their relationship can become a more healthy and safe one.
Please pray about their double-sided jealousy war, foul mouths, and trust issues.
Please pray that neither one hurts each other physically, mentally, or emotionally.
Please pray they heal from their emotional pains and past pains.
Please pray that my best girl friend has wisdom and strength, and does not ditch everyone else who loves her, for this man.
Please pray her boyfriend turns from his drinking, or other pains, and turns to the Lord instead.
Please pray that my best girl friend's obsessions of her boyfriend would turn from him and instead turn to the Lord. It's fine to be in love, but please pray if she's going to have an obsessive love, that it be for God. (All my friends which have obsessions over anything else other then God, are only ending up in painful and negative consequences.)
Please pray that they find peace, patience, and God, whether apart or together.
Please pray that the Lord be the base and strength of their relationship and any other relationships they have.

Thank You and Amen.

You might want to edit- naming specific names isn't cool for the people who they belong to. No one likes to have their dirty laungry aired in public, and if they should ever find this, then they'll know who posted it.

Praying, though.

Yeah. First names is fine. Beyond that, should any one of them find this, it could get ugly.

Not only that, you gave out way too much personal information about all these people. Might want to edit that as well. It's enough to ask for prayer for a friend of yours and that her relationship straightens out and not go into all those details.

Hi Cc4FuzzyHuggles,

The mod staff edited various parts of your message. We've had problems in the past with gossip through prayer, so we're a little sensitive to posts of that nature.

Oops, sorry. I didn't know. I thought praying to God with their real names was the best way to get close to God about who your talking about and having prayer agreements over those individuals.
And I thought the details were what needed the prayers the most. But I understand if it's too much info. I guess I kind of just poured out here on the forums, I had just gotten done talking to them and was just really hurting about the whole situation. Ty for the tips though.

I'm still new to asking for prayer support and learning many other things as I seek the Lord. Again, sorry.

Anyways, moving on. Yes, please and thank you for any prayers you have. ^^

(Note, I have edited my original post. I tried to lesson the detail on them and their lives, but kept the details on what I need the prayers for.)

God knows what's on your heart when you pray, hon. With or without specific details.

My concerns and stress is mostly on all the details. I edited my original post, however I left the one part about my over all concerns, so that my concerns which I need peace about can be prayed for with agreement.
But, for some of the further detail, I've tried to make it so the details are more neutral, and more similar to an average prayer request. Simple one liner prayers, that if they were individual posts they would be fine. Such as; "pray for this person's jealousy and trust issues to heal. (Jealousy isn't good, James 3:16)” or "Pray my friend turns from her obsessions over a man and instead God is number one in her life. (May God's commandant be fulfilled, Mat 22:36-38)"
But I have a list of things I need prayed for about them, so I've put the whole list up.

I want to come in a prayer agreement on the issues and my concerns, but how can we agree in prayer on the issues and my concerns if you don't know them?
I don't really want blind prayers this time, I want deep prayers from the heart. God might hear my heart, but how can we be in agreement if your heart is blind about the issues and my concerns on hand?

However, I respect and understand your points of view and I thank you for your guidance on prayer. I will take what you have taught me into consideration for future prayers.

Anyways,
I do hope you guys can still pray for me and them.
I pray that we can come in agreement to give me peace about my concerns and that some of the issues be fixed and healed. I pray we lift up these issues which are heavy on our hearts to the Lord, and the Lord's will, will be done.

Matthew 18:19
“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

Amen.
Luke 10:25-27 Mark 12:28-34 Matthew 22 Deuteronomy 6:4-5 Deuteronomy 10:12
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”

We weren't saying you can't give out details in prayer requests, hon. The advice is to be considerate of the person you're praying for and if they'd feel comfortable having everything shared on a public forum.

Another tip is to be as objective as possible. Not always easy to portray in text, but it can be done. In your above request, you can say something like "I'm concerned about my friend and her relationship with her boyfriend" and be willing to share via private message any details should any of us ask.

Thing is, God knows this stuff and that's what's important. We can pray for you and for these friends of your's simply knowing that you are concerned about them and thus we pray for your prayers to be answered. ^_^

Matthew 18:19
“] You still don't seem to understand the negative effects that can be caused by listing someone's real name online, especially in gossip (i.e. "So and so is doing this and that is bad."). Please take some time to think about how you would feel if someone went onto a site you din't know about and listed your full name and all the details of an aspect of your life (condoning this lifestyle as well). I doubt you would like it very much or feel loved by this person.
Don't think God is so limited that He can't answer prayers from us if we don't list every detail or even if we don't know all the details.

I've seen unspoken prayers answered. (unspoken = only the person who has the request knows about it, but others still prayed in agreement. They all joined together and prayed for whatever was heavy on this person's heart and God answered them. And I'll try not to get into theology too much, but there's this awesome guy called The Holy Spirit who speaks our prayers for us when we cannot.

I'll be praying for you, since it seems like this whole ordeal you've mentioned has take a toll on you. :\

I'm sorry, I do understand. I thought all the names were taken out. Was one missed?
In a game I used to play it's called "black-listing." So I do understand about saying negative things about others, and having their names used.

However, I used names because it was prayer. I thought with prayer it's best to speak specifically about things. I explained my reasons for it, agreement for those individuals and connecting our hearts and minds for stronger prayer power, but I understand now. Being specific with names, even in prayer, isn't how things are done around here and online.
I am learning there are many types and ways to pray, and I think all ways are important. The simple ones and the heavy pour your heart out ones.

But alright, prayer or no prayer, using names with negative actions isn't allowed. I understand and will respect it.
However, I'm still hoping for prayers by the masses. When it comes to prayer, I think the idea of being, prayer warriors, sounds pretty good.

Just for those who are wondering though, I have previously confronted my friends about my feelings. I've said my thoughts to their faces, some times more blunt then others. I know I'm sometimes too honest with my worried feelings. But I like communication and trying to gain understanding between one another, or opening their eyes to what they are doing to themselves and each other.
My friends are currently on good terms with me still. But I'm just watching them often hurt each other emotionally, and fear the close day where we won't be friends anymore, if they continue down the path their going.

I really don't want them to be together. But I know things need to be done according to the Lord's will and not my own. So I ask for peace with whatever the Lord does or allows.
