The Dragon Children: Second Generation

Eruan turned around in time to smack Brandon with the flat of his blade. "Whoops." When he noticed the panicked look in his eyes, I motioned for Saphira to hold him down. "Try and cough it out or something." He looked back, the Angels had gotten closer, so he smacked their heads with his blade. "Back, you'll really be Weeping when you've messed with us."

Joanne created a barrier to deflect Brandon's charge. Then she sent waves of courage into Ai as well. "Ai, send spirit energy into Brandon's body. That should return him to normal."
Reika turned to Brylin. "You ready?" she asked.
Brylin nodded and they took to the air with Reika. She raised her hands and celestially charged lightning shot from her fingertips hitting several of the angels and annihilating them.
OOC: She's destroyed half. I'll destroy the other half in the next post.

[Diamond Dragon]

-Ai-
Ai nodded. Taking a deep breath, she stretched one hand out toward Brandon, sending the waves of spirit energy to to him.

-Shiro-
Shiro fought with the bow and arrows she found nearby, manipulating the air to make it strike harder and faster. Len was whipping at the Weeping Angels with his tail.

Reika looked around. "I only got half of them?" she exclaimed. "Well, guess I better take care of the rest."
You're doing fine, my daughter. Joanne encouraged.
Reika nodded and sent celestial lightning around and got the other half. But the extra power tired her out. She barely had enough strength to control Brylin and slipped off, falling to the ground.
OOC: EEP! Someone catch her, quick!

[Ally-Ann]

Eulalia, having been relieved from fighting the attacking angel, noticed Reika fall off the dragon. Eulalia's eyes widened and she ran to the spot where Reika would fall. She let her sword drop to the ground before holding her arms out, catching Reika before lowering them both to ground. Eulalia lated Reika onto the ground before taking her wrist and pressing two fingers to it, making sure there was a pulse.

"Is... is this normal?" Eulalia asked, pride gone from her voice and replaced with concern. She may have beeen arrogant and cocky, but Eulalia knew that a good and worthy leader never ignored a fallen comrade. Especially if that comrade was your near-relative's daughter. Chrysanthe seemed to take notice of the situation and her eyes widened in fear.

... Maybe it's from the amount of power that was infused into her? Chrysanthe thought.

Joanne ran towards Eulalia and Reika.
She placed a hand on her chest as she caught her breath. "Yupolga." she panted. "I should've known. She was far from ready for this. It's amazing her body even held up." She almost cursed herself at endangering her daughter.
Reika slowly came around and looked up at Eulalia. She smiled as her strength returned. To show that everything was okay, she turned to her mother and asked "How'd I do? Not bad...for...my...first...battle, huh?"
A woman came out from where she was hiding. "Hi there. Yupolga. Our curse has been lifted. Please, all of you, stay at my inn tonight. I'll even provide food and refreshment free of charge. Even the rooms will be free."
"Really, it is not necessary." Joanne said.
"No, I insist, zelka." said the woman.
OOC: Let's all take her up on her offer. Sorry this is abrupt, but I want to move the story along so we can have some dinner and sleep before the next story. Oh and zelka is Joanne's title in the Krangorian language. It means "blessed one" and is only reserved for priestesses and mages.

[Ally-Ann]

"Well, I accept!" Eulalia said suddenly, her un-humble personality returned. Chrysanthe rolled her eyes and smiled slightly. Eulalia pursed her lips. "What? She offered, we're all beat, it's getting late and there's still a long trip home!" Eulalia listed defensively.

[Twister980]

Eruan glanced back at Saphira. Take her up on it, you'll get to stay with Xavier and Shiro, and all the others. He nodded. "Thank you for the offer. I'll be glad to accept."

[Diamond Dragon]

-Ai-
Ai sighed in relief that Reika was ok. "You really scared me there!" she told her.

-Shiro-
Shiro walked over to the woman, clutching one wounded arm. "I accept as well." she said hoarsely. Len walked up and made a worried noise.

Eruan glanced over at Shiro's arm. He quickly made some ice out of the left over mist,
and put it to her wound. "It'll dull the pain until we can get you patched up." He glanced over at Len. She'll be alright.

Trevor bowed to the woman. I accept. Thank you.

Revel for some reason was not very happy. I didn't get to get one good hit on those guys! Heh, maybe they got chickened out by my magnificent firepower!

Or, Everyone else smashed them while you weren't looking! Trevor thought.

Karin placed a hand on Joanne's shoulder. "I think everyone's right. We should take this woman up on her kind offer. Sophia always did. Remember, it was her way of blessing every town we went to."
Joanne nodded. "Lead the way." she said to the innkeeper. She turned to everyone else, "We shall leave in the morning. But for now, I believe we should celebrate our victory."
Raphael walked up to Reika. "You did well, Reika." he said encouragingly. "You won your first battle. That's definitely saying something."

[Diamond Dragon]

-Ai-
Once they arrived, Ai held up her staff toward the in and prayed;

Sophia, Ruler of all that's good,
I ask you to please bless this establishment,
and all who dwell in it. Protect it from being destroyed,
and protect from evil.

-Shiro-
Shiro looked at Eruan, surprised at what he did. Why is he being so nice to me? she asked. Brobably because he likes you. replied Len bluntly. Shiro colored. Whaaaaaaaat?

--Joanne and Karin--
Joanne placed a hand on Ai's shoulder. "Very good, my pupil." she encouraged.
Joanne followed the innkeeper to the kitchen. "I'm afraid this may not be enough." said the innkeeper.
"That's not a problem when you have a mage." Karin smirked.
"Right." said Joanne. She waved her staff over the food and said a blessing in the angelic language.
You do realize what she's doing? Raphael asked Kilin.
Of course. Sophia loved to do this trick. Kilin joked.
But now, they'll have all sorts of leftovers! Raphael exclaimed.
More food for the next customers. Kilin said. And that food doesn't even spoil. Nothing to worry about.
OOC: You're all familiar with what Jesus did with the loaves and fishes, right? That's what's going on here. Anyway, I want everyone to look at my latest post in the OOC thread. Soran could use our help.

Eruan stared at the table, it'd been awhile since he had seen this much food. Sheesh, you'd think that they're feeding a... Oh... He glanced back at Saphira. Think this'll be enough for all of us? She snorted. I may be a dragon, but I'm not a pig. It will be enough. He chuckled.

Yeah, I'm alright. I just completely messed up in my first battle with this group and made a total *** out of myself. Other than that, I'm fine.

Morrigan overheard the argument Brandon and Feld were having. "I won't tell you about it, but I had a terrible first battle myself." said Morrigan. "You'll get better."

He glanced between each of them, then looked over at Brandon.
Any idea what they're arguing about? Saphira asked him. He shrugged. No, I couldn't hear them.

Eulalia stared at all the food on the table that was right in front of her. "That's... That's a lot of food..." Eulalia murmured, mouth watering. Chrysanthe nodded.

I've never been in the presence of so much food in my life... Chrysanthe thought with wonder. This Joanne... Is she truly evil?... What is evil, anyway? Chrysanthe stopped her thoughts, however, when the low growl of Aristocles murmured in her head.

Do not give in.

With all the food already out on the table, Joanne decided it was time to say the grace. She took her husband's hand, then her children's. Then Reika took Xavier's hand and Xavier took the next person's hand.
OOC: That would be whoever posts next. After everyone joins hands, Joanne will say the grace and then we can eat!

Eruan reached for Xavier's hand. Saphira decided instead of holding my hand she would rest one of her front paws, claws retracted of course. On my head.

I took the hand of the person next to me, still fuming about the fight. She'd be right if I was any oridinary fighter, but I am a High Warrior. I don't make mistakes, not in a fight.

Yagami scowled. How could they defeat the Pogbo?...No matter...They will all--Huh? He leaned closer to the blood-filled pool. His attention was caught on a single green ring on a young girl's hand. A sinister smile spread across his face. ...Things are about to get a little more...interesting.

--Joanne smiled and began. "Sophia, when Karin and I became your children you told us we would gain a whole new family. I see this is what you had in mind. Thanks to you, we have lots of love to go around. And we even have more love on the way." She looked at Karin with this comment and patted her stomach. "So, everyone, to be united in love." She raided her glass and exclaimed "Pesla!" (Pesla is like saying cheers or "kanpei!") And with that everyone clanked their glasses in toast.
"So, can we eat now?" asked Xavier.
"Yes." Set said. "Dig in."
OOC: You can all make up what you're eating. Just remember Diamond, Ai has to eat veggies and fruits.

Ai didn't know what to sample first. There were numerous pies, turnovers, soups, and lots of salad. Ai finally decided to start on the salad. As she ate Ai glanced over to some of the others who were eating meat. She envied them. She had always wanted to try meat, but was stopped by the fact she would fell sick afterward.

-Shiro-
Shiro bit into a leg of shika hane and chewed thoughtfully. She'd never seen so much food, or the people all around so happy as they ate.

ooc2: Shika hane are winged deer. (venison!)

Eruan reached over with a fork for a few pieces of steak. He tossed them into Saphira's mouth. She happily gulped it up. He plucked a few more pieces for himself, and scooped up a few bits of mashed potatoes. "Mmmm. This looks great." He glanced up at the inn-keeper. "Thank you." He went ahead and added some carrots to his plate. He took a bite, and smiled to himself. Feels like a real home cooked meal. Saphira snorted behind him. That's because it is a home cooked meal.
